I took my son here as a celebration dinner. It was from first minute to last, a GREAT experience! We ordered a variety of items... to share, and every dish was delicious, fresh, served beautifully, plentiful, and very fast. Our waiter was friendly, fun, andattentive... but not TOO attentive. NOPE. I am not one to complain, but I will not be back. Something was off about the flavor of the soup so I politely informed... the waiter that it wasn?t good. The food was mediocre at best. I brought a party for a birthday, and I understand that they are under staffed and that?s fine. That doesn?t mean the service... should be any less. When we first sat down and ordered drinks(this is usually the time to order sushi) no one was around to evenask until our meal orders were taken was when we were able to place sushi orders. After that we are preparing to eat and thevegetables are still raw. Two members of the party didn?t even get their choice of meat! About 10 minutes after eating and weare about to cut cake, we were informed that sushi is backed up. Now mind you there is 2 other small parties one of which whohas already been served, then it was us and next the smaller party. Most of the party canceled sushi orders expected one andthat one was made incorrectly. Now I love this place hence the party but I was very disappointed that I brought people here andthe service was horrendous. Just because of low staffing doesn?t mean my meal or anyone else?s should suffer.My suggestion is ifyou are bringing more than 5-7 people here it?s not a great Idea for a party. Read more

Five of us went in on a Monday night, seated right away at a grill with one other couple. Food was excellent, service fun and... friendly. Chef was great. We not only had hibachi, but gyoza and 4 sushi rolls. Took home 3 boxes of food. Great experiencewill go back again soon! Read more

My mom actually told me we needed to try here because our cat is named Ryu! We were not disappointed at all! The food was... delicious and service was lovely. The people in the restaurant were very nice, and our nerdy selves loved the decor and foodnames. We tried the monkey brain appetizer, ryu roll, ryonosuke (spelling?) Roll, umi roll, Mr. Crab roll, and the Sakura.Everything was extremely well prepared, and the spicy sauce they use was one of my highlights. We definitely recommend it andwill be back. Read more

My husband and I came in for dinner tonight, it was our first time and it was amazing! The atmosphere was awesome. We had... Micheal as our waiter and he was so friendly and great, the sushi chef made sure we were happy also. Everyone in the restaurantwas super friendly!! Beautiful atmosphere and AMAZING food! Literally everything that we had was delicious! They have a really awesome anime-themed... sushi bar, probably the first I?ve ever seen in Birmingham! The staff members are such a joy to meet and truly make you feellike family! Definitely a must-try if you?re ever in the area! Read more
