We tried this place because we live in Pelham and it’s close by with good reviews. After finishing dinner tonight, I am... honestly shocked at the 4.2 stars this place has received. I ordered the seafood sampler which was a special. It came with friedcrab claws, fried oysters, a crab cake, and grilled shrimp. The oysters were fine. The crab cake was ok on the inside but it wasfried on the outside within an inch of its life. It was so overcooked on the outside that it tasted acrid. Two other people atour table had the same issue with their crab cake. The crab claws were under seasoned and overcooked so the meat was tough toget off the claw and chewy. The shrimp had no seasoning to speak of, despite the appearance of seasoning. I had to salt themmyself. I’ve eaten shrimp all over the country and don’t ever recall having to season it myself when it came to thetable. My wife ordered the macadamia nut snapper. The fish was cooked fine but was sickeningly sweet because of the pineapple.Even after squeezing a lemon over it, she struggled to eat it. Overall, we paid $105 for two drinks and two entrees after tip. The waiter never introduced himself and squatted by the table to take our order which is always off-putting. The reason for theextra star is that, when you walk in, there is an American Flag picture with the Pledge of Allegiance on it. The food wasaggressively mediocre, which is shocking considering the price and all the high star reviews. We definitely will not be back toMikey’s. You are much better off going to Ragtime Cafe just up the street. Read more
I was truly impressed with Mikey's. I have tried to go by there on numerous occasions and they were always closed - so much so... that I assumed the restaurant might have permanently closed. I am really glad I went by, again, tonight. I overheard one of theservers mention that they had undergone some renovations - the place was well put together. We had the blackened ribeye and thechicken dish (cannot recall the name) - both were superb. The sides were also very, very good. The service was definitely onpoint. So glad we gave it another shot and we will definitely be back. Read more
Being from the Midwest, we like seafood but this is completely different. Weren't sure about crawfish, so the chef gave us a... sample. We added the alligator strips for the appetizer and counted them for sharing (not really but almost). Had the crawfishpo-boy, since we liked the sample. Fantastic wait staff, love it when they ask but aren't intrusive. Huge servings. We aren'tbig eaters so the appetizer and the po-boy split between us made us quite comfortable for continuing our trip. Read more
Oh my gosh, the best food ever!! We went for lunch but had found what we wanted online. We didn’t realize it was on the dinner... menu. They were so wonderful and made us the food for our lunch!! That’s Macadamia Crusted Snapper???????????? and the bestcrab cake we’ve ever had!!! Superb service and we will definitely be back!! Read more
Excellent meal! We had the shrimp po' boy (10/10), the crab cake starter (singular -- only 1 crab cake for $11, 9/10 for taste,... 5/10 for value), and the gumbo, 8/10 (all that okra made it a little slimey, but maybe that's personal preference). All in all,our grand total (including tip) was $52-ish dollars, for a great lunch. We'll be back, if not every week, at least every now &then for the incredible shrimp! Read more

I had the seafood pasta, noodles were under cooked and stuck together so I had to bring home & cook longer. The taste was kinda... like he dropped too much seasonings in it so I added water while recooking to tone the taste down. Not very much shrimp andcrawfish but it was a large serving. Overall I wouldn't pay $18 for that again, I had to do too much work to it, when I gettake out, I just wanna go home and eat not recook. Update 7/16....Pasta was great!! Read more
Our waiter was great. Lemon drop martini was very good. Crab cake was ok. Filet ordered medium rare and came medium well. ... They did cook us 2 new steaks. Came out medium rare but not much flavor. One of the specials came with flash fried corn onthe cob. It sounded good and even though I didn’t want the special our waiter brought us the corn on the cob to try. It wasfantastic. I wish they would learn how to marinate and cook filets. Read more
