The restaurant is within a Japanese style hotel complex. The garden like yard was very pleasant. Entry of the complex reminds me... restaurants in the downtown center of Kyoto. Interior of the restaurant was simple, nothing impressive. A portable airconditioner on the floor was a little distasteful. Quality of food was generally good. Read more
Have walked by this place a few times, it is well hidden in a ?50s retro-cool hotel (Breakers). Finally stuck my head in and... made a reservation. So glad I did. Cute room, friendly unhurried service and a nice compact menu. We really enjoyed the hamachicarpaccio, the crab-avocado-whitefish ( killer dish), and the eggplant. Less so the Baked Scallop. The sushi was really the starhere, all delicious, perfectly prepared and presented. Big thanks to the chefs and our excellent server. We will return forsure. Read more
Absolutely the BEST sushi I've had in Hawaii and in general!! Everything was reasonably priced. The fish was fresh and had an... incredibly clean taste. My favorite part was the Washugyu ribeye steak. We ordered it rare to come out medium rare since it wason a hot place. It literally melted in my mouth. The steak was perfectly rendered and well seasoned. This is definitely myboyfriend and I's favorite place in Hawaii. Tucked away in the courtyard of a cute Japanese style hotel. Next time we visitHawaii, we will purposely stay at the hotel so we have convenient access to delicious sushi everyday. Absolutely on the top ofour recommendations. Very nice Japanese sushimi restaurant. I especially like their scallop sushimi - not watery and taste very fresh and firm.... Servers are very nice and welcoming. Pricy but worth it. Read more
Hidden sushi gem inside a hotel courtyard. Walked in and waited 30 min to sit at the bar, place was reserved 3 days out. This... sushi was amazing. I am by no means a sushi connoisseur but I have eaten sushi in Japan and this place is the most similar Ihave found on this island. Very fresh fish hand prepared by professionals 10/10 would recommend. Friendly and knowledgeablestaff. The sushi regular is selected by the chef FYI. Read more
Superb, magical experience dining here! Definitely one of my top dining experiences on Oahu. The food, service, and values are... all exceptional. I came at 5 pm and food was served fast, so I was still able to catch a sunset when I was finished. I get Softshell crab every time I see it on the menu, and this place?s soft shell crab tempura is out of this world. Another top dish wehad was the Hamachi. It was perfectly spicy, fresh, and salty! Charming, delicate, delicious, unpretentious, well priced. Sat at the bar after a full day of sun. Great service and delectable... experience. Favorites were the Toro of course, but every bite, Saba, and the rest, super fresh and memorable. Definitely a datenight!! Read more

Super nice place for diner, love the Japanese style ambiance and the food was actually... spectacular and really quick to come out, highlights were the papaya and seafood dish and the miso eggplant literally meltinglike butter in the mouth, killer of a dish, wasabi special #1 was also to be mentioned, a must try while in Waikiki.
