Learning cafe with delicious food
CRAZY good food. Like, sooo good. And all the vegetables and fruits are grown in Kalihi Valley and the rest of the ingredients... come from other parts of Oahu/Hawaii. Locally sourced, prepared with aloha. Kokua Kalihi Valley (the non-profit that Roots Cafeis housed in) is a community-centered, wonderful, inspiring organization. Your patronage goes to support them and their mission.So the food you purchase feeds your body and your soul. Check it out. Roots Cafe partners with several local farms/farmers, including Ho'oulu Aina, M?hala Farms, Anthony Deluze, H?loa Poi, Sisou's... Farm, and more! They have a really creative constantly changing menu, always a vegan option, for entree, soup, and dessert.Always a supply of amazing vegan from scratch dressings, for example, sapote, dragonfruit, calamansi, etc. They also have a"mobile market" with produce from the producers they partner with - often stocked with green papaya, cucumbers, kale, poi,eggplant, etc. Read more
Everything was delicious and tasted so fresh. I loved the cassava chips and the salad dressing. Would definitely go again!!
