My wife and two kids visited here for dinner on 8 Oct. The good: - Check-in was easy and smooth even though it was a busy... time. - The server was polite. - Restaurant temperature was good. - They had crayons for the kids. - My salmon waswell-cooked. - The minestrone soup was good. The bad: - We were seated at 6:12 pm, and no server checked in with us until 6:29pm. We ordered right away. - We ordered all of our food together. The kids pizza arrived at 6:40 pm. My wife's food arrivedat 6:50 pm, along with my soup. My entree did not arrive until probably 6:55 pm, maybe even close to 7:00. - The kids pizza wasreally really gross. The crust was mushy, and neither of the kids would eat it. The side was grapes. But be warned, they onlygive you 5 grapes. You read that correctly. The portion size for the kids meals is 5 grapes. We gave the kids vegetables frommy wife's salad and bits of breadsticks to keep them happy. Fortunately they are both toddlers so they were placated prettyeasily - My water glass was empty a lot. At one point for 22 minutes. - The broccoli that came with my salmon was almost raw. It was much closer to raw than to cooked. I am on a diet so I went ahead and ate it, but the stalks were extra extra raw so ididn't finish them. - I ordered a glass of wine and the server completely forgot about it. I had to remind him. I was almostdone with my soup, salmon, and broccoli before the glass of wine showed up (at which point we were already so dissatisfied withthe service that we were ready to leave) To sum up, it had been a long time since we had been to an Olive Garden, and thisvisit cemented that we probably won't be back in a long time, if ever. We were curious indeed! We came all the way from Italy and after 5 weeks eating all kind of food we missed Italian food. Of... course Olive Garden offers an american style italian food but we really enjoyed our lunch. We order from the weekdays menu, soportions were normal (italian style) and with an honest price. Spaghetti with meatballs was a must-order for us so we did orderit together with chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana and a mysterious "unlimited soup" that came with a giant salad bawl(very delicious salad actually). Both parmigiana dishes came with spaghetti with tomato sauce as a side. So, here the verdict...the tomato sauce was good. Pasta was well cooked even if they tend not to put enough salt in the boiling water in the US ingeneral. Pasta with meatballs was a fun dish and the meatballs had a very enjoyable taste, not too aggressive. The unlimitedsoup was basically an all you can eat soup from a choice of 4 different soups. Nice. Eggplant parmigiana was delicate and notgreece at all (nice!) And so the chicken parmigiana. So, nice experience, good healthy food, american style of course but it didgave us our beloved Italian food taste. Last but not least, the service was perfect and kind. Read more

Tbh I very rarely give a restaurant lower than a 4/5 because I'm generally very not-picky and understanding of staff... shortcomings, but my experience today at Olive Garden wasn't very great. I was actually surprised at the short wait (25 mins)..Normally anything at Ala Moana is a 45 minute wait.. But we specifically requested inside seats because it was very hot out andwe had a baby. Well, we were called back and told they only had outside seating unless we wanted to wait another 30 minutes.. Sowe just settled and took what they had. From the start, you could tell they were incredibly short staffed.. There were only twowaitresses serving the outside and I'm assuming some of the inside seats. when they finally greeted us at the table 10(ish)minutes after seating, it also became readily apparent they were incredibly short stocked too. All of the local beers were soldout and they didnt have any straws left. They also only had one basket of breadsticks left and told us more would be availablein 40 minutes (we werent planning on being that long). Mind you, they told us this AFTER we ordered the breadstick dipping sauceappetizer, which apparently also became out of stock after our first bowl (between the 4 of us), so we never got a refill. Forthe 35 or so minutes we were there, we never got a refill on our drinks/waters or were asked how things were. I did manage toask our waitress 3 different times for Tabasco or some how sauce, but she never gave it to me. The Chicken tortellini wasalright, but didn't have a lot of sauce and the noodles dried out. My wife's Alfredo was just fine. I felt really bad for thewaitresses.. They seemed very overworked, but kept a positive demeanor. All in all, I feel like I wasted $100 today and we willprobably not be back. IMO the Kapolei location is much better. I feel like we would have had a better experience at MacaroniGrill or Assaggio, two other sit down restaurants in within walking distance. Read more

Great food, great atmosphere, great price. Bread sticks and soup were very good. We also got the shrimp scampi and eggplant... parmigiana. The shrimps were spectacular, but there were too much asparagus which overpowered the pasta's taste. The eggplantparmigiana was great aside from the spaghetti side being a little bit too sour for us.
