Great place for katsu! Their standard tonkatsu is great, and though some of their more inventive menu items might seem weird,... they were tasty as well! Pleasantly surprised with how the ramen katsu okonomiyaki tasted. The prices are a bit on the highside, especially for the bentos, but the portion size is pretty good. I wish that they offered their special menu items moreoften or expanded their main menu to include more of these items. Read more

I stopped by this place today. Since I sew some posts at Instagram, I wanted to try their Katsu. My target was uzumaki shiso... katsu, but it was sold out. (Recommend to place an order early!) But I got the popular menu, Kurobuta kasane tonkatsu. It wastender and tasty! Also, got spam katsu musubi and takoyaki katsu boat. They were good, too. Next time I will call and place anorder early! From their start in Ohana Market Place to their current permanent residence in Kaimuki, this has been a must go to place... whenever you are in the area. Recommend to call early and make a reservation especially if you are interested in trying one oftheir daily specials. Friendly staff, great food, and good portions. K, I heard many great things about this place and we finally got to have it! It was Great! So moist and tasty, I meant to take a... pic before I ate, but I was starving, so there is a piece missing. Crispy and I noticed it was layers of really soft meat. Itwas really ????????! The ONLY thing is that they really should give more sauce, I think it was 6 PCs of Katsu and 1 itsy, bitsything of sauce. Got the katsu bento and takoyaki. They were fantastic. The katsu was lightly breaded, crispy and very tasty. The sesame seeds... added to the flavor of the katsu sauce. The takoyaki was terrific, too, with nice pieces of tako inside. They make the bentowhen ordered so it was still hot when I got home. You can do a phone order to take care of the wait. Read more

delicious tonkatsu. very popular with good reason but definitely not fast food, so if you want to eat here you have to plan... ahead a bit. when we went to order for lunch on a Saturday a little before 11a, we had to hang around until 1140ish to pick upour bentos. we would eat here again though.
