As a Peruvian I wasn't expecting there to be Peruvian food in Hawaii, nevermind a good restaurant. Fresh chicha morada, had... great aji de gallina and my dad had aguadito de pollo. I'm so sorry to give a bad review to a restaurant i really wanted to like! We ordered ceviche mahi mahi, lomo Saltado, seco de... carne and tallarines Verdes con bistec. The ceviche was actually pretty good, besides the fact that it was too salty, but it wasgood in flavor. Lomo Saltado, like in the other reviews, didn't have tomatoes, even though the waitress said it was gonna comewith tomatoes (is there a shortage or something?), Flavor was good but the rice was dry and(wish I had taken a pic!) They gaveme the bottom almost burnt part of the rice pot(????) they didn't even try to make it look nice, they just put 2 blocks is dryrice in there, lol. Seconded carne was actually pretty good, but it was served cold. And the tallarines Verdes we're also good,but had not salt whatsoever, not the noodles or the steak. besides that is was pretty good in flavor. To be fair, we didn'tcomplain about anything before we left the restaurant. Now THAT is some lovely Mahi Mahi ceviche...perfect amount of spice and acidity. Generous serving too. Meant to be shared. The... empanadas are nice as well. The plantains are perfectly cooked and...just need some sort of sauce to mix it up. Otherwise...verygood! Read more
The absolute best ceviche on the island. The portions are huge and they have a large selection. The seafood rice dish was... amazing as well. Not a big place so call ahead and pickup. The dip for the spectacular calamari was out of this world. Read more
Warning because I didn't know, but their website ordering doesn't work. So if you use google maps to order from, do not use... their own website. Use one of the 3rd party apps to order, even if you're doing pick up, or call your order in... Because Iordered my food online and it didn't work, when I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, it obviously wasn't ready becausethe lady didn't even get my order in the first place, BUT, she was super apologetic and kind about it. She felt really bad andgot my order in and done as quickly as possible with only one person cooking, and other people in the restaurant. As for thefood, it was really tasty. We ordered the ceviche sampler, and the flavors were so good, the fish, talk, shrimp, was perfect.Order this if you love lime, cilantro and seafood. We also order the seafood rice, Arroz con Mariscos, It was really good aswell, the spanish rice with the seafood flavors, so much crab too. Awesome. The seco de carne the meat was sooo good, just wishit was cut smaller, but flavor was awesome. I don't like beans, so I can't comment on that, but my SO said it was good. Andlast was the Lomo saltado, this was really flavorful too, make sure you dip the meat in the sauce. So good. So full. Overallthe food was really good, the customer service was really good as well. I will always come back for this restaurant because the food is good and people who work there are super nice! Not to mention... they decided their own T-shirt. There are not much authentic Peruvian food in the island, and I am always impressed by theirhomemade sauce, desserts and drinks! Read more
