We went to Merriman’s with a large group and the ambience was clean, modern, fun, and open. It was spaced well. The most... impressive thing apart from the appetizers was the service, impeccably friendly with great attention to detail. I loved everyappetizer - especially the shrimp and escargot. My ribeye was also cooked to perfection with greatly rich whipped potatoes. Itried some of everything and enjoyed it all! Merriman’s was recommended to us and we will continue to recommend it to others! Read more
9/2022 Been here a handful of times. Always good, attentive service. Selections on alcohol and food items could be better but... most people seem to like it anyway. Not my particular cup of tea but it's a decent choice in the area. The ambience alone willmake up for any perceived shortcomings. Food is amazing!!!!! From the mussels to the pig quesadilla, the veggie enchiladas, & the bread pudding is to die for !!!! Would... definitely come back if I am visiting Hawaii again. Kaile our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items.She also gave us some tips on things to do in the area! I first visited Merriman’s back when they first opened in 2018. I’m so glad this place has grown and blossomed into an... incredible dining experience. Everything I ordered was delicious, and thank you, Vinny D., for the outstanding service. Istarted with the Caesar salad and soup of the day, the lobster bisque. The salad was crisp in texture but a bit heavy on thedressing for me; they had tomato crouton, which was different but flavorful. The lobster bisque was creamy and had some shrimpincluded. Then followed with two fish entrees; I had the fish tacos, and my father had the fish special. The fish taco wasbeautiful; it had some spices, which gave it a little kick. The best part of the meal was the fish special; it was soft andtender yet crispy. It was paired with asparagus and jasmine rice and a savory sauce. I looked away for one moment, and my fatherhad already finished the dish. I also got the mango iced tea which was super refreshing throughout the meal. After my meal, Iunderstood why people rated this place so highly. The dining experience plus food quality is a combination that can’t bebeaten. I will be returning with family and friends, and I hope the experience and food continue to elevate to the next level. Read more

Merriman's wasn't even on my radar until a friend gave me a gift card to this restaurant. Making a reservation was easy via... OpenTable, and planned for a meal after movie + Dave & busters across the street. We ordered quite a few items off their happyhour menu, including the spicy szechuan green beans ($9), parmesan truffle fries ($6), pacific shrimp and chips ($13), Kalua pigtacos ($10), as well as the bag o' biscuits ($5) and the grass-fed umami burger ($17). The green beans were not spicy and wereSUPER salty, like just straight up soy sauce bomb. Burger was cooked to the perfect medium rare and was very juicy, and thebiscuits were pretty good (as referenced by all the other reviews). The best dishes were the parmesan truffle fries and thepacific shrimp. Those fries were sooooo good and had great garlic bits all throughout. Albeit only 2 pieces, the pacific shrimpwere HUGE and the meat was deliciously sweet and well fried. Service was great and attentive, and if you come for a specialoccasion noted in the reservation they may comp some goodies. So yeah this restaurant is a great happy hour joint, but also goodfor full meals! Read more
