This is within the military resort on Waikiki in Honolulu Hawaii. Reservations are recommended for brunch, we did not have one... but since we went early the two of us were seated right away. There is an omelette station, a waffle station and lots ofpastries, fruits and breakfast meats to choose from. The waiter to get a coffee right away or choose from a variety of juicessuch as orange, pineapple or passionfruit; mimosas too. Read more

The prime rib buffet was overpriced and underwhelming (at best). 3 tables of various foods with minimal seasoning, and a single... cutting station for prime rib that was somehow both tough/dry and undercooked at the same time. Desserts were also lacklusterand dry if not downright unappetizing. They couldn?t even make coffee without burning it and leaving grounds in the roaster. I?mnot sure if the staff doesn?t care or the quality is genuinely that low. On top of this they still charge for soft drinks. Allthis at a cost of $70/person. Visitors and residents alike can easily find better food within walking distance for far lessmoney. Terrible experience and do not recommend. Read more

***Good food BUT loooooong waits*** The buffet bar cannot support the resturant occupancy. Lines are long and an adjustment must... be made by managent. Two waffle makers doesnt support 100+ people. Even with two lines, it's a 3:00 wait per person. 4th inline means a 16:00 wait. By then, the rest of the family is halfway finished with their meal. Same thing with the Omelet Bar.It's about 3 min per omelet, which is ridiculous when there are 7 people in line. For the rest of the buffet bar, again, thelines are long and the space is cramped.....and when I was there, it was only at 75% occupancy! There are only twoSOLUTIONs: 1. Minimize the number of customers so that the lines and wait times are shorter. OR.... 2. Double the number ofwaffle machines to four, double the cooks at the omelet station and increase the size of the buffet area. PRICE: $27/person isway overrated for the experience. If it was $15/20, perhaps I can overlook the wait times, but not at $32/person (with $5 tip). It is not professional, nor does it reflect positively on the Hale Koa. It is a theft of time and money. I recommend that youreserve a table with EGGS N THINGS down the road. Its about $20/plate and the portions are HUGE. The wait is minimal with areservation, and the service is fast. I have over 110 days in the Hale Koa and have a good pulse on operations. Check my otherreviews for the services they offer, to include the pool and Bibas. Hit the HELPFUL button if this was beneficial foryou. Mahalo, Brian Hargis Google Expert Guide Read more

Overall experience was fairly good. The servers were nice and timely. The ?best? Mai Thai in Waikiki is simply not true, skip on... this. The steak was over cooked to order, again probably skip on this. Plates are a bit overpriced compared to other eateriesin Waikiki. Read more

Staff is always very friendly and outgoing. That goes for the entire hotel staff as well. Suggest you make a reservation for... immediate seating, however, it seemed less than a 20 min wait for walk-ins. Food is good, omelet station, lots of staplebreakfast food as well as a great selection of fresh fruit. They offer some good morning cocktails. Great view indoors and outdoors of the ocean. We had breakfast here 4 out of 6 days of our stay. Read more

I love this place and I miss dining in already since they stopped serving buffet during the Covid 19 pandemic. I love their... dinner buffet specially their seafood fest I think every Thursday particularly their crab legs. Not only for their variety ofdelicious dishes and succulent desserts, but also their very reasonable prices . Their buffet is unbeatable. I look forward tosee Koko at Kalia at Hale Koa to open up again and experience their buffet dining once more. Read more

A nice quiet restaurant, relaxing and a getaway from the hustle of Waikiki. Reservations are recommended -- right now it is... limited to militarily or hotel guests. We went for breakfast, the bloody Mary was great, and the food was even better! BEAUTIFULview of Waikiki beach as well! Read more
