We visited Hawaii and tried this place because the review was quite high. I have to say that this is also one of our best shave... ice place we have been too. It's so good and a bit different from a lot of places we have tried. No wonder it earns itself sucha high rating. But one thing I have to say negative about this is the portion size is quite small. We didn't assume it will bethat small compare to the image on their menu. They have use a different plating when we purchase it. But I still recommend thisfor anyone who is visiting to Hawaii. It?s a must for anyone going to Oahu. I have tried almost all the flavors they provide. All of them were so good. Definitely... recommend. The queue will always be long, but it?s worth the wait! Just take the serving to sit and enjoy amidst the littorches, very close the shop. They use fresh fruit to make the syrup and that should be reason why it tastes so good. There are2 or 3 gentlemen working diligently and creating these masterpieces- kudos to them!! Read more
This place was awesome. The lines are sometimes long but the shaved ice is great and so is the service. We actually visited... twice. One side note, they don?t take your order, you simply key it in when you get to the front of the line and wait for yourname to be called. It really efficient?. I loved Island Vintage Shave Ice, went there twice during my visit to Honolulu. We got the Heavenly Lilikoi and the Hawaiian... Rainbow and both tasted delicious. The syrup tasted fresh and not artificial and the toppings were very fresh as well. I wish Iwas able to try all the flavors but alas. The line does get fairly long as long as is waiting for your shaved ice as it is donein a small shack with one or two people depending on the time of the day. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth it to try atleast once while you're there. Read more
The shaved ice here is good. Flavorful and refreshing. It's abit pricey though. Also, depending on the time,.. it looks like... you might have to wait in line. Because this is an outdoor stand,.. you'll have to walk down to find some tables to sit andenjoy your shaved ice. Read more
This place doesn't even need my review, but it was so good I just had to ???? We went here twice because it was my favorite... dessert I had during our 6-day visit to Oahu. Oh my gosh. It just melts in your mouth. And the flavors! Sweet but not too sweet.And even if you order a signature item (which is more affordable/better value), you can also customize flavors if you want(though it's limited). No one takes your order - you just order on a screen at the front. (You can see a guy making the ordersright there, though... so you know it's fresh!) So you better know what you want by the time you get up there, cause most likelythere will be many people in line behind you eagerly waiting to order (which was the case both times we went). Once we waitedabout 10 minutes, the other time we waited about 30. I also wish they were a bit more generous with the toppings... But I can'tcomplain. It tastes delicious. By far my favorite shave ice in Oahu. We came here almost every day! Their shave ice is super fine and fluffy, and unlike many... other stores they use natural flavoring. Instead of being sickly sweet, this shave ice is very refreshing, and the perfectafternoon treat.
