Nice little place. Coffee was okay, but I don?t necessarily recommend it to Aussies or expats in Australia accustomed to... Australian coffee. Hot chocolates were good, but another note to Aussie tourists?American coffee houses don?t usually do amarshmallow with a hot chocolate. Pass on the baked goods. Outdoor seating looked amazing. Inside was very telework friendly.The outside is probably the place you want to sit if you?re popping in with children. Art is nice, although minimal. Nocommunity notice board. Clean, though the tables were slightly sticky, which seemed to be the finish, not negligence. The front(see picture) makes for a fun subject to sketch if you enjoy urban sketching and want to warm up before heading out to sketchthe beach or cityscapes. Read more

Longtime fan of Island Brew Coffeehouse. Ecstatic to hear they Opened a Kaka'ako location! This Auahi St location was filled... with ultra high ceilings a beautiful plant/green wall and Trendy, artsy, modern decor My go order at Island Brew Coffeehouswis their Acai bowl - delicious! it was rainy /cloudy on this visit, so I enjoyed a hot chai latte , made with soy milk. Nonmeat eaters rejoice! Lots of vegetarian and non dairy options available here Extensive menu with plenty of drink and foodchoices for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a quick snack! Great service, great coffee, and cozy seats too! The guy who I presume is the manager, Raphael, is so nice because he remembers... my order and my face, so it's extra easy on my part. Also, the latte art that the baristas here can do are so cute. Overallhighly recommend. Read more
Located in the heart of Ward Village, Island Brew brings a much needed local spot to just relax and take a break. With ample... comfy outdoor and indoor seating, this cafe is a perfect spot to meeting and catch up with friends. It's also beautifulydesigned with an green wall, natural edge wood framing and great art.
