Overpriced with tiny portions. Subpar sushi and a bit fishy tasting. The fried chicken looks anemic and tastes just as bland.... Aburi is barely torched, but tastes like propane. The conveyor belt isn't running either, I assume due to Covid (so not due whatthe draw to this place is). Read more
We have been to this Genki Sushi several times and each time the spicy salmon poke bowl is my favourite. Its strong aroma from... sesame oil, the tasty texture of salmon flash mixed with salmon fat, and the delicious flavour of the Hawaiian style ofmarinated raw salmon makes the rice bowl a fantastic treat. I added a bit of wasabi mixed with soya sauce to give it a Japanesesashimi feel. Read more

This is a fantastic sushi restaurant. The prices are really awesome, everything is incredibly fresh. They have a lot of creative... variety and the best part is the portions. Was excited to see Genki Sushi here in Honolulu as I have fond memories of it from my time in Japan. Went in the early... afternoon, was not too busy and service was fast and attentive. A little disappointed that it is not like the Japan ones wereyou electronically order and the sushi is delivered to your seat by train, instead is hand delivered by server. Decentselection of sushi, both Japanese and Hawaiian styles. I prefer the fish-based sushi over the spam/egg type ones. The pricesdefinitely add up fast however depending on the quality of sushi you order. Good location to stop by if you are shopping orheading to the graffiti area. Read more
New ordering system where you scan a QR code specific for your table and order from your phone. Convenient though reception is... super spotty so you would need to hop on their WiFi. Servers are super friendly though I miss the conveyor belt system. It wassomething I associated Genki Sushi with and made it nostalgic. Spicy tuna is a go to! Read more
