I have eaten at another Assagio location and was very happy with the food. My family and I visited this location because another... restaurant could not accommodate us in time. The location is beautiful and right near the Hawaii Kai marina and there is plentyof parking. The fresh rose on each table was a great touch. I love the warm bread loaves and butter that come out before themain meal! My dish came out just fine and I enjoyed it, but one of my family members ordered the steak and although seasonedwell, it came out very tough and not cooked well. We sent it back and the replacement steak was better but not by a whole lot. Ithink it was just a bad shipment of steaks that day. Read more
Went with my family of four and all meals were great, with large portion sizes for the price point. Probably one of the only... places in Honolulu where you can get food quality food at an affordable price. Wasn?t very busy when we went, so also one of theonly places you can walk right in and eat in the city instead of waiting for hours to be seated. Wait staff was great, verycourteous and amiable. Our waitress Tory was great, very friendly. Tiramisu was average, but main course meals were great, ahearty meal to satiate any hungry traveler. Read more

Great experience tonight, well always good really. They did a great job accommodating our party of 13. The timing on the... appetizers and dinners were great. The portion sizes are pretty big so consider this if you are ordering appetizers. No problemboxing up the extras. Service was very friendly and highly recommend the Hawaii Kai liason. Read more

We went to dinner at Assaggio in Hawaii Kai (Koko Marina), on November10, 2022. The food was horrible - the pasta dish that we... ordered was not edible. There was so much garlic that the only taste was garlic for both of us. We both have traveledextensively, and have dined in many Italian restaurants in the U.S., Europe and Asia. I usually enjoy garlic when appropriatelyused to season. But the pasta had so much garlic, the only taste was garlic. We hardly ate any of our pasta dish, and took ithome to examine. I examined the pasta dish closely at home, and there was an immense amount of garlic. I thought if the pastawas rinsed, it could be made edible. This was not the case. Due to the amount of garlic in the pasta, it could not be rinsed offenough to be edible. If zero star could be assigned, it would be assigned. As the food ordered and paid for was not edible.
