Reviews for Michael Anthony's Pizza in Homosassa Springs, FL
Stopped in on my way home I?m not usually in that area but man was I glad I did. It?s so hard to find good pizza where I live in... Inverness but the drive was worth it. Pizza was cooked to perfection the only thing missing was a little more oomf which was myfault i forgot to ask for breaded chicken vs regular chicken. The pizza would have been a 12/10 if I asked for breaded chickenand I won?t make that mistake next time. Very friendly staff and quick service. Nice display case with fresh pizza on displayand a view of the kitchen from the front counter which everything looked clean and sanitary. Pretty nice location next to Publixnear Homosassa trail. Wish they had a second location in Inverness or even lecanto. The penne on the pizza was cooked well thevodka sauce was so delicious I can?t rave enough about the combination. And I purposely saved two pieces to reheat for lunch thenext day and I throw it in the overnight and it was even better the next day. If you?re on the fence about trying it or lookingfor a new pizza place make sure to check them out. Great quality!! Read more
The pizza is really good. Seems like a NY style crust. They do sell by the slice, and typically offer six choices when I've... wanted in. First time I went in, I ordered double sausage with mushroom, and the buffalo calamari appetizer. Both wereexcellent. I've since had their pasta, and more than a few soups of the day (shrimp bisque being my favorite). The prices arereasonable, and the staff is friendly. Read more

Have Always loved the food (Pizza & spinach roll)however yesterday my friend ordered a Pan Pizza (Square) and I a spinach roll.... I pick up my order (should've checked) when I get back with the meal there was a large round pizza , my friend calls MichaelAnthony's and spoke with the girl who took his order and said this wasn't the Pan Pizza, she said, " oh it's the same" we itisn't the same, 1. It's not square and thick, it's round and thin. 2. There is most definitely a price difference. So it's notthe same. Paid $37 and change for a round large pizza and spinach roll. But of course nothing was done as this young, very youngminded lady could not admit there was a mistake, so we've been coming there for a long time ,but won't be back for anythinguntil there are mature personal. And it wasn't cheap either. I don't like to complain I'm not like that, but way to much money, especially when times are tough for everyone. Read more
This pizza is delicious. I just got cheese. A good cheese pizza is all you need to know whether or not a place is good. The... crust was excellent. The sauce was excellent the whole experience was excellent. I just ordered a reheated slice instead of awhole pizza. I can only imagine what a whole pizza baked fresh would be. Because this was seriously great pizza. End it was only$2.50 I think? Read more
Stopped here after a recommendation from a local. The loaded bacon fries were a hit, the portions are exceptionally generous,... the service was quick and friendly. I had the meatball sub and the Meatballs tasted very processed, definitely freezer to table. The Stromboli was very greasy and the pepperoni took over the flavor from all other ingredients. I probably would not come back. They have a large menu so there could be some other gems in addition to the fries. Read more
I should have trusted my instincts upon seeing a wide range of reviews and skipped this establishment. But no, I forged ahead... with reckless abandon to the detriment of my taste buds to whom I owe a heartfelt apology. Some cite a crispy crust, I beg todiffer and found it to be a dry chalky crust devoid of any satisfying flavor. The utter lack of cheese caused the underlying redsauce to percolate to the top and evaporate away and ultimately produce a shriveled up mess. I hope my taste buds will forgiveme in time. Read more
Authentic, thin, New York style pizza with great sauce. Every pasta dish we've tried has been A+ We also highly recommend the... calzone.... it is delicious! And, to top everything off, they're open later than any other Italian restaurant in the area. Read more
