Great lodge with good prices and nice clean rooms. We had 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Near the second longest spit in the... world in Homer, Alaska. Places to eat and shop nearby including Mikey Dee's McDonald's and Subway. Read more

We went to the restaurant after running into the cook when we were out for coffee. The food was great! The view was fantastic!... The prices were reasonable. If we return to Homer we would come here again. Read more

Stayed here for a quick overnight recently. Our room had two separate bedrooms, which was nice, and the rooms were perfectly... adequate. Beds were pretty comfortable, and though the place is definitely old and worn it felt clean enough. Unfortunately, ourstay here was ruined by the noise as the walls are paper thin. About 10 pm the room next to us began blaring music to the pointwe could hear every word, singing along, yelling to each other, while other guests banged on their door and screamed. We calledthe Front Desk, who said they would come check it out. Waited 20 minutes or so with no change, called back and was told it was ayouth group who had returned to the hotel late and just to wait it out - he never checked it out, only called which of coursewas unanswered. No idea where the adults or chaperones on their trip were. Waited another 20 minutes or so with no change. Sincewe knew it was teenagers now and would probably be okay safety-wise, finally about 11 pm we went and had to POUND on the doorfor them to hear us and tell them to turn the music off. That's all it took, then we were fine. Very upset that the hotel staffdidn't do their job or care at all, and we had to do it for them. Read more

Location is great as it's right by Beluga Lake and there's a sort of sidewalk that you can walk down from the lodge to cross by... the lake. The place is a bit run down and you might not be able to check in on time as housekeeping may still be cleaning rooms. The hallways are dark and dingy. The actual rooms are okay and come with blackout curtains which are essential in the summer. Itwasn't the worst place I've stayed in but I wouldn't stay here again. Read more

Clean and nice bedding and curtains blocked most light. There were a few issues at check in but they quickly resolved them.... Don't anticipate being able to check in early - which was fine for us. We would have tweaked our days plans slightly knowingthat, so giving the heads up to others! Read more
