Ordered mac and cheese, collard greens, ribs, mac salad and corn bread. $20. Mac and cheese was delicious. Ribs were excellent... as was the corn bread. Greens weren't great but edible, needed more onion/ bacon/vinegar for my liking. There was white riceunder the wax paper the ribs were on but I didn't eat any of it. Now the macaroni salad was GROSS I'm sorry but please don't puttuna fish in mac salad with out mentioning its in there first and I don't know what spice or herb was in it but the smell wasnot good. If not for that salad and rice I'd have given it s 5star. Read more

Great customer service, beautiful space and deliciois food. We waited a bit, however you can't rush perfection! The menu hits... all the right 'food' choices when considering southern cuisine. My wife had pork chops, and I picked the grilled chicken. Bothof our meat choices were off-the-bone tender. For sides, we had mac and cheese, collard greens, candied yams and mashedpatatoes. No disappointments here. The portions were reasonable to cost. And the vibe was just right for a Friday night aftera long day. Great spot for all ages and all cultures. Did I say Great customer service?! If you don't know, now you know!#holyoke Ps. Corn bread, TO DIE FOR! Read more
Decided to get fried chicken and mac & cheese. I was surprised to have rice in the container and it was good. Fried chicken is... very good. Mac and cheese had flavor but was dry. I will try them again. Read more

If I could give the atmosphere more than five stars I would, it's a really cool place inside! They have swings instead of bar... stools, how unique! Small but adequate sidewalk seating. Melvin greeted me as soon as I arrived and was smooth, courteous andprofessional. He helped me make a decision from their extensive [meat -N- 2 sides + rice] menu and I was beyond pleased, notonly by his suggestions but also by the choice I ended up making. I normally shoot for vegan or vegetarian, but today was avery rare cheat day and boy I picked a winner. I got the ribs, done slow and smoky with a savory sauce with just the perfectblend of spiciness and sweetness. It wasn't too sweet, and it wasn't hot at all. The rice was moist and properly cooked, itwasn't mushy and not one grain was hard. It had a light flavor that helped offset the sweet spiciness of the ribs. Perfectpairing. The green beans were yum yum yummy and were the first thing I finished. The black eyed peas... man, they pack a punch! They have a little zing to them, and they rounded out the meal very nicely. If I was to complain (and I am NOT! I am FULL nowfrom the medium rib plate...) the only thing that seemed missing would be a piece of cornbread. DO recommend. BRING A DATE.And an appetite. 2 snaps up in a circle. I will return. Read more
