My granddaughter who turns eight wanted to have her birthday party in her favorite pizza restaurant Palumbo's. But when my... daughter went to make arrangements for this for my granddaughter and a few of her classmates she was told that she couldn't havethe party there because all the children would drive other customers away. As a family we normally eat there about once a weekbut after this incident our family will be taking our business elsewhere. My granddaughter asked me why the owner wouldn't letus have the party there and I told her that's what greed does you'll learn that in life. My parents went here for their 33rd anniversary dinner in November 2022. They were not treated well after pointing out a $4... ?surcharge? for garlic and oil on their final bill. After waiting 45 minutes for them to fix the receipt and remove that extracharge (an extra charge for ingredients??), my mother asked again about it and a guy was very, very rude to her. They wouldn?tgive her a copy of the updated bill, and the exact words from the guy to my mother was ?you look like you?re a little nervous.?Give me a break guys. Read more
Family has been ordering from there for at least 3 years. Ordered a medium with sausage and peppers plus a large pepperoni... delivered. Leave $5 on order and give driver $5 cash when they get here. My order was $49.70 before added tip. Called to ask, "we didn't raise price of pizza, just toppings. He told me $6 per topping, delivery charge, use of debit charge. Ordered pepperoni pie and chicken parm.. SALT BOMB. Put aside I requested Crispy Crust and pizza was flimsy, flavor ok but... loaded with salt. Sour pizza! I order a plain and baked ziti slice the plain was ok but the ziti slice tasted sour and like vinegar! I returned it... only to get a plain slice and no $ back for the ziti slice being more expensive and I?ve been sick all night and all morning!Definitely will not be going back there after years of eating there! They don't deliver to Hazlet. Behind home Depot . Once a week for 3 years food was delivered. Typically about a 60 to $70 order... $5 to 7$ tip for the delivery driver then One day I called And they said they no longer deliver to my area. Delivery driverswere saying it's too far.smfh. I have been meeting my boyfriend halfway between where we each live Wednesday nights for the last year and we finally visited... Palumbo! We both agree that it is our new favorite and go to meeting place. The staff was personable and the food delicious. Hebrought home half of the eggplant parm because the portions are that big. He is a chef, and he rarely brings home any leftovers,so this is a compliment. I had a very good rice ball cooked differently than I have ever had before. I then had a salad and thebest escarole and beans soup I have ever had. Yummy! We will be back soon to try some other choices. Read more
