This was the first time that we ate at this local restaurant and we were very pleased. The food and service were outstanding. ... We ordered the chopped salad for our appetizer. The salad was very large, enough for two, and was excellent with greens,tomato, cheese, meat and lemon vinaigrette. I ordered the eggplant appetizer for my main course and my wife ordered the chickenparmigiana. Both dishes were well prepared and filling. Awesome restaurant! I?ve been here a few times recently and the owner/manager is super friendly. The burrata is one of the best... I?ve had, they make their pasta in house and it?s delicious. My wife and I had a terrific dinner there last night(Saturday). The first few times I turned around to admire the bar, first the manager (Carmine), then our waiter, IMMEDIATELYappeared at our table and asked if we needed something! I was initially attracted by the chandelier and the green velvet sofa. I decided to try it and see if the food was good. The... host, an older gentleman, was a bit abrasive in his interaction with me. I had a reservation for 3 and the staff placed me at atable near the front. The older gentleman came yelling that I was not allowed to sit at that particular table. However, he nevershowed me where to sit. It was an awkward interaction. I ordered the calamari and the octopus as appetizers. Both dishes were onpoint. Unfortunately, the main course was not as good. I had the pasta with the sweet sausage. The sausage tasted like it waspast expiration. I didn?t finish my dish. I was sick after. Very sick. I had the pistachio chocolate cake for dessert. This cakeis made in house and it is divine! The wait staff was friendly and professional. Our waiter was so sweet. My friend was 40minlate and the waiter kept checking on me. So sweet! I think the host needs more training on customer service.
