Smelled chicken in the air. Followed our nose to the front door of Rock 'N Roosta. We ordered the wings and fries. But, if... you're in a hurry. You better call ahead and put in your order first. You will have wait until your food is cooked if you do awalk-in. Depending on what you order. Our order we waited about 15-20 minutes. This place has the freshest cooked wings.We're not talking KFC style that is waiting for you under the heat-lamp. We're talking about old school style fried chicken.Chicken Grandma used to fry when us adults were youngsters. Most definitely going to be visiting again and again. Oh! Almostforgot, the price. Been wanting to try this place out for quite a while finally got an opportunity to try it last night and all I can say is we... were not disappointed we were the last customers of the night and they made us feel very welcomed and showed a lot ofhospitality. The owner came out and made a little joke and you could just tell that the atmosphere there is great. Nothing butrespect. We absolutely loved our food and are definitely planning on ordering and trying more food from this place.Just a greatoverall experience. Read more
I've been wanting to try this place out for the longest time and I was really glad I did. The restaurant was small but very... clean and the young lady behind the counter was very polite and well-spoken. I asked the owner for a recommendation and endedup going with the comfort meal which you can assemble from the menu. I ended up getting a fried pork chop with fried shrimp anda side of Mac n cheese, a side of collard greens. The food was delicious and brought me back to Sunday Dinners with my family. The only reason I didn't give that last star was the wait time. It's a newer place so I 100% understand that and I'm sure withgetting more established that will improve. Overall it was pretty good. My burger was really good but there was very little salt on the fries and they don't allow... substitutions even if you're willing to pay extra for your meal. The menu is much larger than I expected it to be so I'll haveto come back and try some other items but it would be nice if the prices were a little lower. The same can be said about everyother place though. Read more
