I had high hopes for this place, I saw that it got great reviews and it looked like a really cool place to go! Well the looks... were all it had going for it. We came in around 4 in the afternoon on Sunday and the place had maybe 6 other people there total,all of which were seated at the bar. We sat down and the bartender was very welcoming and explained about their differentselections of beer, that is where the good experience ended. I asked for two waters and she said sure thing and that she wouldbe right back. After 9 minutes of sitting there waiting for our waters while she was just casually chatting with her friends wegot our stuff and left. During the time waiting we had time to look at the beer selection, it was fine and offered quite thevariety, however, when you take a look at all the other breweries within a 40 miles radius, there are more than 70 others, onlyone other has a menu designed the way they do. When you describe a beer I want a full description of it, I want to know whattypes of fruits are used in it, I want to know which hops are in it, I want to know what type of barrel it was aged in, if itwas. This place simply would describe a beer like this as "Fruity, hoppy, barrel aged". Not impressed, my fiancé and I are bothultimate brewsaders through Grand Rapids and I would say there are so many other options out there to try instead. If you are inHolland go to Big Lake Brewing, Brewery 4 two 4, Our brewing, or New Holland, all of those will be better than here. Read more

This place is wonderful. I have been, I have seen and I have tested some of the best and creative flavors of craft beers. They... have no food or little snack options but their options for independent brews are all but short. I stopped by here over the weekend and I was very impressed! The bartender there did an excellent job explaining things and was... extremely friendly and nice. He let us get small samples before we bought which I always am happy about. I loved the layout ofthe place as well. Awesome bar and sitting area. No food but you can bring in whatever you want so I can't complain. The onlything I didn't like is they did not serve flights. Bottom line Hopland Brewstillery has great drinks and a great atmosphere! Read more
Best New Hip Place To Drink Beer!!! Great craft beers, which are my favorite. I enjoy great conversation with the regulars and... the bartenders are fun and enjoy talking about the Brewery. They offer a members package for $1.00 off every beer along with atee shirt. Love this place, and the bartenders are friendly and want to get to know you! They always have new styles of beer as it is... brewed in small batches. They also offer wine, cider and mixed drinks. And if you want, you can order pizza or Thai from nextdoor and eat while you enjoy your drinks! Read more
