It was my wife and I first time here. Best Serbian food ever! I wish they had this restaurant in Florida.
Me and my husband were first time visitors right, and we are already blown away with the large selection of tasty and... traditional Serbian dishes made with a touch of modern twist! Food and drinks don?t look appetizing just to our eyes but also toour stomachs as well ! ???????? It literally does feel like, eating homemade food made with all ?? like our mom and ?babas?would only know how to make! We also want to thank to our incredibly helpful, charming and lovely hostess Denica! She is one ofa kind really! As we are just passing through Chicago IL, and we are located in FL. Pretty damn good food. Definitely one of the best Cevapi I have tried in Illinois. I was impressed by the freshness of the meat... and the portion size. Pretty awesome drink menu too. Very cozy environment and clean restrooms. Staff were nice and patient. Iam definitely going back. Read more
Interesting industrial location off of I-294 near the UPS in Hodgkins. Unless you've followed this "back road" to get to... Menard's (or UPS) or entering/exiting the highway, you would probably miss it. Went with my friend for my birthday, as ourplans for another restaurant didn't pan out. Had this on my "places to go" list with the great reviews and 4.5+ stars. I hadthe salmon salad. It was great! My friend got the steak sandwich and it was very lackluster. It wasn't a full piece of meatslapped on the torta-like bread, but chopped steak pieces and there was about the equivalent to 2-3 ounces of over cooked meat.(See pic, as it doesn't even reach the end of bread). He's pretty picky and wanted all the fixings on the side, so this may haveadded to the sandwich being as "flat" and skimpy as it looked, but still. He wasn't asked his preference on doneness or muchelse for this dish. I had to ask for a little bit of extra dressing for the tomato cucumber part of my salad (well...lemonjuice which I was charged $2 for 2oz, since it was fresh squeezed from their juice bar????. Waitress did remove from tab after Ipresented my case). Salad wasn't seasoned either...not a deal breaker. Our waitress stopped by once to take our order and shedidn't approach the table the rest of the night. Our food was brought to us by another wait staff. I had to go up to the counterto pay (figured out after no one approached our table the rest of the evening). We also saw fresh bread baskets being brought toall the other tables in this small establishment, but not to ours. ??????????? Not one to make anything racial unless I canprove the discrimination, but a lot of pieces fit (not being attended to/asked if everything was okay, meh food, not beingoffered rolls, and my friend and I being the only non-Caucasian patrons). Really wished this was what I expected from thereviews. Perhaps their breakfast is better? P.S. No one walked into the restaurant, but us, with a mask????. Read more
We wanted to try a local restaurant while we were in Willow Springs horseback riding. So we just mapped for a restaurant with... good reviews. It was 8 minutes away. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, we were the only indoor customers. Theyhad an outside area which I think would have been nice to experience. The food was the highlight of the visit. We had theburger, steak sandwich, sub sandwich and a salad. All were good ???? and huge portions. I don't think I've ever seen a burgerthat big which was fitting for my 17 yr old growing boy. We all still took leftovers. The service nice. We will visit again ifin the area. Read more

I love it a hidden gem I met for lunch with my boss and I was blown away the inside is beautiful and welcoming the staff is also... very welcoming my boss is Serbian so he knew the place. I however am not but our waitress was great with explaining to me whatwas on the table we did both the appetizer and the meat sampler I highly recommend both .
