Came in a few months back. The owner was there behind the register. Came off kinda rude even though I wasn?t doing anything... other then ordering. Left a bad taste in my mouth. My FAVORITE poké place! Ingredients are always fresh and delicious. I love the choices of protein, zoodles/rice combo option,... and toppings that they offer. I have been to other poke restaurants and they just do not compare, in my opinion. Read more
Incredibly disappointed in the horrible management at this establishment. I order from Shaka Bowl weekly, sometimes twice a... week, my breakfast order for 2 typically averages $50 and I always ask for potatoes on the side for dietary reasons (I haveCeliac Disease and the fried potatoes are not gluten free). It has never been an issue until today. When I called to make therequest I received an attitude but just assumed it was a disgruntled employee until my order arrived and I received this bizarrenote. When I called back I was informed that it was the owner who wrote the note. She still had an attitude and was completelydisrespectful. I tried explaining why the request was made but instead of listening to me she hung up laughing at me. Thiswhole situation was handled poorly. If my request was too much to ask she had the opportunity to tell me so over the phoneinstead of sending me an immature note. Don?t market your restaurant as allergy friendly/vegan/gluten free just to be ?trendy?if you can?t actually make simple modifications. Incredibly warm space with equally as incredible food! We have been visiting both Shaka locations for years now, and will... continue to for years to come! In our town places come and go, and luckily for us this business is here to stay which is atestament to how great they are. We love all of the menu, but if we had to pick 3, we?d say our favorite menu items are the porktacos, avocado egg rolls, and chicken poke bowls. The seasonal specials are great as well. We recently had an event in theirWashington Street space, and absolutely recommend their catering + space to anyone looking for a special event and memorabletime! Read more

I?ve been here a few times. The last time I was kind of confused as to why my bill was a bit pricey. Their description is a bit... misleading. The description says choice of protein for a price and when you go to pay there?s an up charge on the protein. Irecently inquired about it with 2 employees and both confirmed that any protein would be additional. Maybe next time, you mightwant to advertise the price correctly.
