If you are looking for 16 Handles quality, you will find it for sure, that's fine. Now, if you are looking for friendly staff... hands down I can say I am sorry but this is not the place. It's a shame, with a warmer staff this would be a differentexperience. Read more
Walked in the place was a mess, the topping counter was covered in toppings and the machines had drippings everywhere. You could... tell the place hadn?t been cleaned or wiped down all day. The quality of the frozen yogurt was really runny and not creamy likeit should be, you can tell the actual machines hadn?t been cleaned for awhile or else the texture of the actual ice cream wouldhave been much better. There was only one person working and they were sitting down behind the cash register?.rang us up to a$20 bill for 2 half filled cups, insane. And the place has the audacity to automatically generate a $1 tip on the machine, forwhat?? That was the icing on the cake for me. Large selection of flavours and toppings. Ice creams were tasty as were toppings. Seating and bathroom provided. Nice view over... the city. Staff was not particular friendly. Very pricey because you pay by weight!! We took the smallest cups (16oz) and had 3portions: $33 ???? Read more
This place is very clean and had LOTS of topping options. I loved how they included the nutrition facts next to each flavor and... had good options to choose from. I went to this place around 2pm and there was no one in here so it wasn?t crowded at all.There?s pretty indoor seating but they do charge by weight of your cup so it can be pricey here. I?d recommend coming here sinceit?s really nice but be aware of how much you?re adding to your cup. Read more
When 16 Handles first came to Hoboken, I was jazzed. I went weekly, often more than once. It's never been what you would call... economical, but I always told myself it was an aid in portion control. Over the years, I noticed the price going from not cheapto rather overpriced, but I still stopped in for the occasional indulgence. However, after my most recent visit - I'm sworn offfor good. It was just after 9 pm so I called first to see if they were open due to adjusted 'COVID' hours. The man whoanswered the phone said they were officially closed but if we could get there in less than 10 minutes he would stay open, whichwas kind and it impressed me. I live less than 2 blocks away so we ran out the door in the flash. We arrived and half themachines / flavors were already off and half the toppings gone, but hey...beggars can't be choosers, right? So we got a littlesomething to satisfy the sweet tooth, but upon check out the register rang us up at nearly $20 for our 2 mediocre cups. I askedhim to double-check....that couldn't be right? He said it was and was rather stone-faced / not very friendly. We should havewalked out but I felt a bit obligated since he had stayed open and frankly, I just wasn't processing the ripoff quickly enough. Anyway, we paid and left and the regret follows me. Nice frozen yogurt store right across Pier 13 on the boardwalk and close to the bike path (it's hard to spot because the signage... is almost unreadable), in a corner of an apartment building. Selection of flavors is acceptable but you'll find yourselfconfused as the screens that display the flavor of each machine are either constantly changing, cracked or have an ugly piece ofpaper stuck on top.
