Went to the new baldinos Giant Jersey Subs at 596 Cherry St today after my doc appointment downtown. Didn't feel like fighting... the Macon Burger Week crowd and have missed Baldinos since they left the area after being at the building where the ThreeCountries restaurant is now. They definitely scored a great spot right across the street from The Capitol Theatre at the cornerof 2nd and the place is fresh and clean. I ordered the #7 with mayo, and also wanted a sample of their salads so I asked for a16oz Pasta, 8oz Macaroni, and 8oz Potato. The sandwich was good but not what I remembered from Baldinos which always had a lotof the oil & vinegar mix. Also the salads I got were all small 5oz sizes. It's OK, maybe it's growing pains. Hinesville has been by far the best service and staff to date. And that?s quite some heard. All others that have tried to... imitate their hometown customer friendly service and taste well they just need to remember. The bread is always for sale. If you're thinking of going to subway or firehouse, don't. This place has the best subs in town, hands down. And it's cheaper!... The employees are also very nice. Brandon is fantastic. Put an order in for arguello, 3 full and one half sandwich. Everything was fine except I ordered Italian full sun with extra... mayo and jalapeños. Instead I got that with corn? And literally jam. Like I am not making this up they put jam in my stuff.Completely throws the flavor, didn?t even bother to finish the other half. Who puts mustard and jam on an Italian sub? Happened 8/25/2020 -(Ordered 3 subs and average $40/$50 every time we eat here.Other 2 subs were great.) This is the 3rd time I... have received my Turkey sub made incorrectly by the Baldinos near the base, but my 2nd time informing them of their errorbecause I said I would just pay for extra meat next time instead of complaining. I'm pregnant, can only eat certain foods, andhighly disappointed that I drove that far for this.To avoid an issue I PAID for extra meat and I will post pictures of what Ireceived. I was specific about my order and they still got the extra oil and vinegar wrong, no oregano, and where is the extrameat on the entire sub. I did look over the entire sandwich and they seemed to out extra meat in the middle but not the entirefootlong as if they were trying to save meat. I will also post a picture of my husbands sub w NORMAL meat so you can see whatI'm talking about. The guy on duty said he was the manager for tonight and because I had called in before he could only do 50%off and was supposed to only do 10% off...of an order THEY GOT WRONG! Despite me having to drive 40 minutes round trip to bringit back and fix it properly. I wasnt asking for anything free and would have driven back right now to get a sandwich fixedproperly. He told me they were closed so thats all he could do. Disappointed. You have to go on certain days when certainpeople can fix your sub correctly or order certain subs or else the 3 thin slices of expensive Boars Head turkey you get on anormal sub tastes like bread and lettuce only with oil and vinegar. When you order another tyoe of sub with a variety of meatthey give you 3 slices of EACH meat ehich is why my husband's sub is packed more with meat. They used to be great but are goingdown now...
