Stopped here tonight for the early bird special. The food was awesome! Tortellini with meatballs and the eggplant parmesan... were outstanding. Service was attentive, but not too much so. The Early bird dinner is a great value. We'd have given them 5stars, but the ambiance was lacking. We were at a table looking at the back of the restaurant (rotting wood fence, etc.). Wewill be back though. GREAT FOOD. Read more

The food was good, the garlic bread was especially delicious. I was torn between 4 or 5 stars, I opted for 4 for a few reasons.... The parking lot was a bit confusing as there was no parking when we arrived and we had to back out of the lot and park acrossthe street. The ambiance was okay, but nothing special. The portion sizes were a bit smaller than what I am used to at Italianrestaurants (a meatball appetizer that sells for $11 came with THREE small meatballs on the plate) and the average price of anentree was not exorbitant, but was high for the amount of food you got. None, of these would stop me from going again, but theyare the reason for not rating 5 stars. If you are on island and looking for a good non-chain Italian restaurant this is a goodplace to try. Not the best, but you would likely not be disappointed. Read more

Our second visit, this time better than last year's! We called ahead for three of us, and got a spot in the side room with the... windows. Glad we did, because the deer and raccoons that live in the area came to visit the feeders, so we got dinner and ashow! Our server was new (she said it was her first night), but she was very friendly despite seeming a little nervous. Theowner that was training her recommend us a delicious bottle of reisling to start off with, and gave us several dinnerrecommendations as well. After getting the garlic bread, we started off with the escargot and crab ravioli, and both wereincredible. My sister got a peach tea cocktail, and it was okay, but tasted watered down like it had been sitting for awhile. Upnext came our house salads; fresh, crispy, with a simple but tasty balsamic vinegarette. While we waited I ordered a filthyvodka martini with blue cheese olives. Perfectly made. For our entrees we got the chicken pancetta (the broccoli was soflavorful, such a standout in the dish for only a few bites) that had a delicious sauce; the pesto tortellini with fresh andexcellently seared scallops (pesto was not too strong and had a great flavor, the tortellinis were delightful to bite into withthe squishy center); and the sea bass Naples style with kalmata olives and angel hair pasta (super light and tender, the saucewas amazing). Everything we got was very different from the other, but every dish was executed impeccably and highlighted theskill of the kitchen. For dessert we tried the trio (cannoli, flourless chocolate cake, and mini crème brûlée). Everythingwas great- the cannoli not too sweet but nice and creamy, the cake fudgey with a nice cocao flavor, and the crème brûléefabulous. I had wanted to try the homemade limoncello, but they were out so I went with the mocha mint cappuccinoinstead. Overall super thrilled that we came back, would absolutely give this place 6 stars just for the food alone, but theservice and atmosph Read more
