I?m so upset right now. This is supposed to be Caribbean fried chicken marinated IN sweet and sour sauce. I got dry fried... chicken with a small container of sauce on the side, not even enough sauce to pour on the entire chicken. To add insult toinjury the food was cold after waiting an hour more than the estimated finish time. I called to let the restaurant know andAmari began to laugh as I explained how my order was messed up. I explained that Caribbean fried chicken with sweet and soursauce is supposed to be marinated in the sauce. She told me they put it on the side because people complain it?s soggy. Delicious and authentic Caribbean food. I got the oxtail curry with rice and beans and cabbage. The oxtails were fall of the... bone tender, very juicy and flavorful, and the curry was complex with flavor. The red beans and rice were simple yet delicious,seasoned just right to enhance but not overpower the dish. The cabbage was cooked perfectly as well. Do yourself a favor and try Red Stripes Caribbean Cuisine! We went two nights in a row...first Bluffton on our way from Savannah... to HHI and then when we arrived in Hilton Head. Soooo good! I am plant based and my partner is omnivore and we both trieddifferent items each night. We loved everything and will be back soon. Best Jamaican Food Ever. I have never had a bad plate of food while eating here. My boyfriend, coworkers and I can't get enough... of this Place. The staff is super friendly and attentive. So good. We shared three dishes and 6 sides and all of the food was levels above what we could have hoped for. Flavorful, melt... off the bone food from a locally owned family business. Sallie Ann Robinson recommended Red Stripes to us and it was even betterthan expected. On top of all that the service was down to Earth, friendly and welcoming.
