We came in 10 minutes early and were seated right away. Service was lightning fast, we finished our food within 25 minutes of... being seated. Needless to say that everything was delicious. We ordered a provencal style grouper and a half pound of local peel& eat shrimp. The hurricane drink was so good that I had to order another one for dessert! I'd like to highlight the servicehere, the manager visited us several times during our time here and I noticed him checking with our server as well to make surewe were satisfied. Would love to give 5 stars ... however the service was S L O W ... no apologies or updates while we waited. Reservation for 545... and by 7pm we finally got a basket of bread. I absolutely understand shortage of workers ect, but keeping guests updated goes along way. Food was good. atmosphere outside is fun. paying for the view/atmosphere as it's a little more expensive compared to similar restaurants in the area. Read more
The linguini with clam sauce was very good. Ask for extra garlic. So yum. This restaurant is a part of the same group as... Poseidon. Poseidon is more refined and this one is more bar casual feel. The fried Calamari at Poseidon was excellent. BlackMarlin served tiny tiny Calamari. Not sure why. The flavor was good though. My husband enjoyed the swordfish so much. The musicwas fantastic. I want to say that I expected to absolutely LOVE this place. In fact, we cancelled a reservation at one of our favorite... restaurants to give this one a try because the menu and reviews looked so good. Unfortunately, things didn't go as well as I hadexpected. When we arrived, there was an hour wait to sit outside and immediate availability for the inside. However, we wereable to grab a first-come first-served high bar table outside right away. There was live music playing and the weather wasbeautiful. Throughout our stay, we had two servers attending to us. Sean (Shawn?) was definitely the stand-out though! He waspleasant and thorough. We started with the mussels appetizer, which was delicious. Partially through we asked for some bread togo with it, which took over 10 minutes because they were baking a fresh batch. We slowed down on our appetizer so that we couldfinish it with bread. Our entrees arrived very quickly. However, as seen in the photo, my crab cake was very overcooked on oneside. I asked for a new one and Sean quickly brought two more that were cooked much better. I also had to ask for both butterand sour cream for my baked potato. My husband's came with butter on it. Overall, the food was just lacking though. There wasno seasoning on the vegetables. Nothing was horrible but it just wasn't great either. When I spend that much on a meal, I amexpecting greatness.
