The food here is mediocre at best. We had the filet mignon, pork chop, and seafood pasta. The seafood pasta was ok but that was... the only dish that was tasty. The rest of the food was dry. The noise level of this restaurant was astronomically high. We willnot be coming back to this restaurant. This was not worth the $200 bill. While the food may look delicious? trust me it?s not. Reservations through open table is a plus in these days where reservations are rare. Great service. The staff was attentive... without being annoying. Food was incredible. The pimento cheese appetizer is awesome but be prepared for dive spice andexcellent sharp cheddar. The schnitzel and seafood pasta were great. As was the key lime pie and caramel Irish coffee. Highly recommend! Delicious food. Price is worth it! Nice view of the creek/river made for a pleasant evening. Excellent service... by Gina. I was so excited to finally try Alexander's after living here since 2016 & hearing neighbors talk about how wonderful it is.... Unfortunately, the experience we had was a huge disappointment. We made a reservation for 7:45 & arrived 5 minutes latebecause we had to park across the street by the tennis courts & walk over. They were backed up so we had to wait for at least15 -20 minutes. No big deal, we were fine with the wait. After all, it is peak tourist season, so we understand things arebusy. Then we realized they were seating people before us who had later reservation times than us. One other couple who had thesame time as us were upset & complained but we just waited patiently and did not complain. They finally seated us at a 2 top inthe area behind the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. Hubs ordered a Ceaser salad along with a Filetw/ Lobster tail and I ordered Low County Crab soup & the Seafood Pasta. They brought out some bread & our wine. Then a littlewhile later brought our appetizer along with the soup & salad. Not ideal to get all of those items at the same time, especiallygiven that we had a tiny 2 top table but we didn't complain. It kind of sucked though because my soup was just sitting theregetting cold while we had our Misto Fritto appetizer. The Misto Fritto was ok but a little on the bland side. It didn't haveany seasoning & I wasn't a fan of the aioli. The crab soup was ok but not the best I have had. Spraking of the soup, I hadbarely started eating my soup when the runner comes out with our entrees. Absolutely unacceptable! At this point we werecompletely disappointed with the whole experience. Not only was our table too small for all those dishes & the bottle of wineat the same time but also our entrees are just going to sit there and get cold while we finish our soup & salad. We come to Hilton Head Island every year and Alexander?s is our favorite place to eat! We go to a lot of restaurants so I don?t... say that lightly. It?s a beautiful restaurant set on a scenic creek. Make sure you ask for the early bird menu which I believeis from 5:00pm to 5:45pm. I had the prime rib which was absolutely amazing! Ask to have Angela as your server! She is THE BEST!My nephew was throwing a fit in the restaurant and she handled it so well. She even found some paper and pens for him to drawwith. She was funny and personable but most importantly she was a down right awesome server! Angela we appreciate you! One of the best meals we have had while in Hilton Head. Recommended by a local for our date night; Alexander?s did not... disappoint. We made reservations as we were warned they get busy. We were greeted as we walked in and sat quickly. Our serverdid a great job, was attentive and professional. Great wine list at reasonable prices. Craft beer was solid, I like it whenlocal breweries are featured. The food was fantastic! Scallops were large and so good. Surf and turf special was cookedperfectly (rare) and had great flavor. Lovely atmosphere and delicious menu options. We failed to make our reservations prior to our arrival week so we had to dine... early (5:15pm) which was not a problem. This did give us the option of the early menu - less options but also at a lesser priceor you can still order from the main menu. We both thought the seafood vegetable soup was amazing (soup du jour) and hubbychose the Fresh Catch which was Mahi Mahi with a pineapple & strawberrie salsa while I opted for the Weiner Schnitzel - bothvery tasty. Our dessert choice was the oh so delicious peanut butter pie. Our view was pretty and the service was top notch.The only issue we had was our meals didn't arrive together. Hubby's arrived first and then mine arrived 3-5 minutes later. Once our waitress saw my meal wasn't served she immediately went to the kitchen to check on mine.
