They made my wedding cake beautifully. I got lilikoi filling on top and pog on bottom and lilikoi buttercream. It was so good!
I ordered the panini with herb roasted chicken, basil pesto, mozzarella cheese, roasted bell peppers, and local greens. What I... got for $15: a mound of dry canned chicken, wilted Romain lettuce, and bread. No roasted peppers, no local greens, nocheese! I love this place!! The workers are all friendly, helpful, and courteous, and the food is Top Shelf! I'm grateful to have a... great place to stop and grab lunch and/or Sunday brunch where I know that most of the ingredients are produced locally, and itis a locally owned business. In response to a previous negative review: it's hard for me to imagine that the management issomehow cold, or toxic in any way, since the workers are friendly and appear to be happy, with lots of smiles and laughter. This is my first ever review on google but I just felt like I finally needed to, as this was long over due. Short n sweet bakery... is my go-to place for breakfast, lunch, and dessert! Highly recommend the chicken bacon ranch salad + the herb roasted chickenpanini. SO SO good. Macrons are the best in Hilo! No where else compares, they have so many flavors and choices. Lilikoicheesecake is simply amazing as well, just a few of my faves when I stop by. And I?ve been coming to this small little gem forYEARS now, I wanna say since about 2014 maybe, and one thing they have is CONSISTENCY. The food is always good, always fresh andalways the same, which I love! Love supporting local! A must if you?re in downtown Hilo. I live about 45 mins away, but it?salways worth the trip for me and my family. They have also helped with a family wedding of mine a few months ago. Everythingwas perfect and the bride was thrilled! Flipping RAD LITTLE BAKERY! We were lucky enough to be there on Sunday, which afforded us the only on Sunday amazing sweet bread... French toast. We followed that up with a grilled PB&J, a light and fluffy not-too-cream-cheesy iced cinnamon roll, and alatte. Everything was AWESOME! If there?s anything for constructive criticism it was the latte was a little watery, but we?refrom Oregon where espresso is god so that could just be regional. Later on we?ve got a homemade Oreo that is sure to bekiller.
