The atmosphere here for dinner is nice with the live music and open air seating. Really enjoyed the cool breeze as well dined al... fresco. As enjoyable as that is, the food was even better! The fresh catch was so good as they have a pretty thick piece. HiloLocal Plate was for the kids but I think I ended "trying" half of it. But the absolute best dish was the Coconut Ginger Mussels.The broth from the mussels was so good I had to eat all the rice. Read more
The service was super friendly! The restaurant itself was cute and it was pleasant to sit and feel the cross breeze while... eating. While the drinks and food were really pretty, both my husband and I didn?t really care for what we ordered. Our steakswere over cooked and the blue cheese sauce wasn?t good. I went on a Friday night and the place was packed. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the live music. I started with the onion soup... which hit the spot. Then I had the Poke Tower which was super fresh and flavorful. The specialty drink in the pineapple was abit pricey but worth it! Overall great vibe and energy. This place almost always has a line outside. The wait can take up to an hour, or more to get seated. Staff was friendly &... helpful from greeting me at the main entrance all the way to table & bar service. I got the flank steak appetizer. I enjoyed it,but not so much the heavy amount of sauce that covered it. The hibiscus cocktail with rum was delicious. A fun place with open air dining. A good selection of food. The Cheese Puff appetizer was the best. The Curry Chicken Wrap would... have been really good, but they were really heavy with the curry to the point where it was bitter. The grapes in it cut thecurry, but there were not as many grapes as needed. The hero sandwich was tasty, albeit it needed a touch of salt. It was easierto eat open faced rather than as a sub.
