I believe we have one of these on Oahu and I?ve been wanting to try some and finally did, in Hilo! There may or may not be a... line. They give you a pager for when your order is ready. When it?s busy, your order may take like 10-15 minutes, but honestlyit went by quick! The first day we got the Lava Flow - super delicious, especially that haupia cream topping! The second day,we got the Big Island Love - also delicious with their coconut condensed milk and I loved that fresh lime flavor that hit thetaste buds once in a few spoons! I got The Big Island Love with Haupia cream. It looked really neat and was a tasty treat. I think the cream was a good addition... and would recommend it. It's pretty big - shared it between three and it was satisfying. Read more

We ordered the Local which had flovors of Soursop and Lilikoi topped with Haupia cream with some poi at the bottom. Refreshing... flavors. The other one we ordered was the Big Island Love that that papaya pieces with coconut and lime flavors and a generousamount of condensed coconut milk on the top. Loved it! Read more
What a fun little shave ice shop. We tried several of the different varieties. They were all delicious. I think the chocolate... one took the reward for best flavor, and the lava flow was best in show. All of them were quite pleasing though. I've been tofancier shave ice joints (there are a few Kona side that are really over the top and rather expensive) but the price was right,and the topping selection included ube (mashed purple sweet potato, if you are uninitiated) and several kinda of condensed milksand fresh fruits. You could easily build your own halu halu here even though it isn't listed outright on the menu. Highlyrecommended. Great way to beat the heat after touring the farmers market. Read more
We were on the hunt this week for the best shave ice on Big Island. This is it! We shared Big Island Love before lunch and then... later in the afternoon came back and each got our own shave ice bowl with different flavors. Both of those were just as good!Well done Kula! Read more
