This is the only restaurant on site, so we thought we would try it and show them some support. I was skeptical as soon as we... walked in, because there was only one other family dining at this establishment. The A/C isn't working properly making ituncomfortably hot inside. Our waitress was not very helpful. Service was slow we waited 30 minutes before our food wasbrought out. The rolls were stale, our burgers were overcooked, and the side salad was not very fresh. We sent it all back anddecided to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately we had to drive out of Hilltop to get lunch elsewhere, but we'd rather do that. Theygot 1 ? due to default. Waitres was not attentive, never came to check on us or apologize for us having to wait over an hour. There was only one other... table in the whole restaurant. They already had their food, we ordered and waited 1 hour for two hamburgers and a chicken friedsteak plate. We got up and headed out the door and the waitress said the food was coming out. We decided to sit back down sinceit was coming out. The hamburger was extremely dry and overcooked. Our family left and my husband and I stayed and ate thechicken fried chicken. We do not live in the Hilltop Community but drove through it today. Stopped at the restaurant for lunch and it was not a good... experience. There was one other customer there.. We sat on the patio and before the waitress came to greet us, another employee(from the bar?) sat close-by and started smoking a cigarette. The smoke was awful nasty so we went inside. We wanted to sit onthe patio so our dog could be with us. We had to put the dog in the car and sit at a table inside. Wife and I waited, andwaited, and waited for someone to come to the table and recognize us. Just as we were about to bail out and go elsewhere, thewaitress came. Told the waitress that we were getting ready to leave. But we thought we'd give them a chance. Surprisingly,The rest of the dining experience was good, as was the food. Except... The bread rolls that were served were stale andobviously from the previous day - or earlier. The restaurant is dated and in need of maintenance and facelift. It must havebeen a nice place in the 70s or 80s but has never been updated. We were not impressed and we don't plan to go back. Read more

Sweet staff. Was out in the boondocks and looking for chicken fried steak. The meat became soggy because of the thin gravy on... top. They didn?t have mashed potatoes on the menu! Lobster ravioli tasted like lobster. Just swimming in the cheese sauce?whichwas great. The sauce was the same as was used for the ?stuffed ? mushrooms appetizer. They were delicious, but we don?t know ifthey were actually stuffed with anything. Side salads were lackluster.
