Stopped here to eat on a road trip because of the cute name. AMAZING FOOD!! The buttermilk chicken sandwich is to die for. The... seasoned fries are delicious. A friend got the Chesapeake Chicken sandwich with the crab dip and crispy bacon and she was insuch a food coma afterwards from how great it was. Oh and we started with fried pickles, the slices NOT the spears (who evenlikes fried pickle spears???), and they were such a good start. Overall what I?m saying is this place is GOOD!!! Read more

Well folks , y'all know I usually don't post bad reviews that could possibly be bad for local businesses. I give 2 stars... overall just because it has potential. I give 12 stars for food because my wife said her burger was just ok . I give 1 star forservice for a few reasons 1. Our waitress took our drink order and just walked off , not would y'all care for a appetizer ?Nope . 2. She passed everything that was ordered right over someone sitting at the table . 3 . I ask , do you have friedpickles? ( not on menu ) . She says yes we do and walks off . I give 3 stars for atmosphere because the place ( view my photos ) looks really nice . Now , if you are in any kind of hurry , leave that outside . ( nothing here is fast ) . Well are y'allready for the not so good stuff ? Our table guests ordered the chesapeake burgers , both were NOT GOOD , bad beef ? Bad crabmeat ? . They have a limited menu to beginning. Lol I ask for napkins , now mind you 0 napkins on the table , 4 guests attable , this young man comes to our table with 3 napkins . WOW we did observe a few other patrons leave the whole meals (burgers ) on the table . I don't think I could recommend this establishment to anyone at this time . Like I said at thebeginning of this review, they have room for improvement . To this date I've not heard from management or owners . Maybe theyhave closed up . Read more

We were traveling from Pa to this area to pick up our puppy and we were looking for a bite to eat. Our hotel recommended the... mason jar and I?m so glad we listened! Great atmosphere, our server, Jenn, was amazing and the food was top notch! We orderedsteaks and it was cooked to perfection. If we are ever back in the area we will be back here. Ps we asked how old the cookswere because we could see them and they looked pretty young. One of them was 18. Who ever you are be proud of yourself young manbecause you can cook better than others that have been cooking for years! Read more

Wife and I travel to VA quite a bit for family and needed a place halfway home to eat dinner. We decided to try this place out... due to the great reviews and we?re so glad we did. We order fried pickles everywhere and The Mason Jar had probably the bestwe?ve ever had. Wife ordered mussels for her appetizer and said it tasted great. I ordered the Bourbon Burger and loved it,Wife ordered The Marylander sandwich and she said she could tell the crab meat was good quality and lots of it. Service wasfast and very welcoming, but we went at 11 in the morning in a Sunday so it wasn?t very full. I could see this place being verypopular. This is absolutely our new stop on our way home from VA to TN. Literally the only thing we didn?t care for was thesweet potato fries. They were just too sweet since they were covered in cinnamon and sugar. If that?s your thing you?d love ?em.I?m sure there regular fries are great which is what we?ll order next time. Read more

Wish I would have got a burger like my wife did. It was great! But I ordered the Cod fish and chips. It was the smallest piece... of fish u have ever been served. It was good, just very small. I also paid a hefty price for that little fish. You can go there, just order something other than the Cod! ???? Read more
