I had breakfast there while staying down the road in hillsville. I tried the cheese omelette and toast with some coffee, and it... was amazing. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the cheese was very gooey and stringy. The toast was crispy, and I genuinely lovedeating my eggs on top of one of the peices of toast. Overall, great food. We had breakfast there this morning, on the way back from Hillsville flea market, and it was the ABSOLUTE BEST breakfast I've... had anywhere in a very long time. The biscuits were perfect- flaky but didn't fall apart. Sausage not over-done. The eggs werefresh. My boyfriend said the gravy was awesome and the tenderloin nice and tender. It was a fantastic meal at a greatprice!! The only criticism we may have had was how long it took to be recognized and waited on. It is seat-yourself, and therewere only 2 waitresses, so it appeared that they didn't know when people had come in. We do understand that restaurants areunder-staffed and that they were only a table or 2 shirt of full seating capacity. They just seemed a little disorganized. ButI will say, it was very much worth the wait, and I would have no problem driving up for a leisurely ride this fall and tryingtheir lunch or dinner. I highly recommend stopping here. Read more
