Nice small place. This is more for takeout so the store was empty, but dining was available. There were no hand held menus but a... brief menu was shown on the screens. It was also served in takeout containers instead of plates because of that, but it ended upbeing convenient anyway. Chicken shawarma and gyro platters are very similar but good taste. The rice to chicken ratio is a lot,so less rice and more chicken/bread would?ve been nice. Great middle eastern joint in this area. Very flavorful food and the rice is very tasty and aromatic. However I am taking away... one star because the combo contains less quantity of meat. One time we ordered beef and lamb combo and asked to replace beefwith more lamb but it came with just lamb in same quantity. That was a bummer. Other than that taste wise their beef and lambboth are very good. I would say chicken is average. Read more
I was blown away on how good was the El Wadi Platter. The falafel was crispy on the outside, yet moist and flavorful on the... inside. The lamb gyro was tender. But the rice was my absolute favorite part of the dish; absolutely aromatic and perfectlycooked. This is Good NYC-like eats here. Read more
Just ordered from here the other day (chicken & rice cravings, of course) and it was pretty good! The hot sauce is a fiery... addition to any plate so just a word of caution with how much you end up using. The menu is VAST so there's many an option totry out! We also ordered the chicken kebab (minced not cubed) on the side and they were very well seasoned. Overall, definitelyworth a try! Read more
Absolutely phenomenal, and very nice Staff/Owner. Experience: Beef over rice is not on the menu, but they were very nice and... did a lamb over rice, sub beef, When picking up my food I accidentally left my card in the store, and they ran out to my car toreturn it. Above and beyond customer service! Food: Shared between my wife and I, A chili-cheese dog, strawberry shake, beefover rice, and 6pc buffalo chicken wings. Chili-cheese dog was pretty good, not quite a "portillo's dog" but definitelysatisfactory, and something we would order again. The Chicken wings are breaded, and very very tasty. The buffalo sauce leans alittle on the hot side, but the they were hot, well breaded, and the bleu cheese was nice and thick, making it a great dippingsauce. Strawberry shake had strawberry chunks in it, fresh and refreshing :) Beef over rice was great, the portion size ispretty reasonable for a $10 platter, the beef was extremely well made, and complimented well with fresh veggies, and a mild butgood companion yellow rice. The hot sauce is not for the faint of heart, but was delicious, and the hotter the better ;).
