Syun Izakaya is one of the two sushi places we frequent (the other one being their sister restaurant in Forest Grove), no other... place in the area measures out to them. The sushi, and many of the dishes on the menu are outstanding and deliciously prepared.Recently we tried their Hawaiian fish crudo, is on the appetizer section, and oh my goodness! Was that a plate to get secondsof? Ummm? yes! We ordered a second one, their specialty sushi rolls are my favorite, and the tuna tar tar along with their tunasalad are a hit too. The Kakuni and the Japanese pickled veggies are two other favorites. My only regret is to have discoveredthis local gem only a few years ago, I was missing out! Read more
Delicious sushi, friendly staff, cute restaurant, and good sake prices. I wasn't a fan of the music just because it didn't seem... to fit the scene but it wasn't a big deal. I loved the open kitchen where you could see all the fish that was being prepared.People just seem really happy to be there. They exceeded my expectations. Been twice so far, and have enjoyed it! Wonderfully fresh sushi, service can get busy during peak hours so it can take a second... to get seated. A lot of great seating outside in the summer. The main area of seating can get pretty loud with music and othertables talking during peak hours, but the back room is quiet and has a nice atmosphere. My husband and I were craving sushi. Not the best i have had, and maybe over priced. I did find a hair in my soy sauce as i... poured it. No complaints on service or friendliness. The squid was good, our waitress was very kind, and attentive. They had abeautiful outdoor seating area with lots of trees. I enjoyed the ambiance. Read more

Came here on a Friday night and expected a 30 minute wait for a table for 2. The outside seatings are nice, but only the... sections with more lights within the patio. We are not roll persons so tried their ramen salad and tako cucumber, and Hokkaidochirashi. They are decent in general but we have to wait for 40 minutes before getting any food. I think in general the qualityis good, but our experience seems to be victim of under staffed. Read more
