Wrote in April 2022: Excellent Chicken Thali. Yummy tandoori chicken !!! Recommend the chicken thali 100%. Nice to see that they... serve all Halal foods. Thank you for keeping the Muslims in mind. ???? The other day i tried the goat thali, the meat was notcooked until tender. It was a bit chewy. However, the gravy was great. The biriyani we ate today was average 7/10. The thalisare better so go for that. Service was good, interior was very beautiful ??. Has a lot of potential if they try to fix the smallthings i mentioned. I will come back again. Of course- for the Chicken thali!! Edit: slashed down 2 stars. We visited today on19th Sept, 2022. It has a terrible staffing shortage nowadays. I called at noon asking if they would have less staff today but iam disappointed that they lied. We had to arrange our own guest's booster chair as there was noone around. There was such a longqueue that people stood out keeping the door open. Also the food quality degraded. Didn't understand the meaning of halal lunchbut non halal dinner. Have never heard of such weird practice. Sadly i decided that i wont visit Swagats Hillsboro branch thatoften anymore. I love this restaurant. The food is amazing. I always order a full dinner because I get 5 sides with the meal. Every side I get... is good enough to be eaten as a meal. Each has its own curry flavor and is just as good as the main course. The people who runit are also very personable and care about the service they bring to customers. The food at this Swagat tasted better to me thanone of the other locations. I highly recommend the Hillsboro location, even if you have to drive a few extra minutes to gethere. Read more

This is an incredible Indian restaurant! I highly recommend getting the thali dinner with your entree. I?m personally a huge fan... of their biryani and dosas! They have a vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu available as well with plenty of options. Read more

I've been craving Indian for a while and I've always had a really good experience with take out from this location. The portions... have always been enough for two with left overs and the chicken was generous along with the rice. HOWEVER, I haven't actuallybeen able to sit in due to finding out about this place when covid started and me finally being back in Oregon to come try thisplace in person. I decided to go in for lunch on Friday (mind you I drove in about 20 minutes since I always had excellenttakeout). I thought it'd be totally worth it. And the disappointment was from every direction. I wasn't greeted. There was twopeople who tried to take my order. (Get it together). I would've understood if it was crazy busy (I used to be in food/beveragehospitality) but even then the experience is what brings customers back, right? Anywho, I go forward with ordering and Iordered butter chicken ($15) (it's comes with rice) and I ordered a side of garlic naan (which was almost $5) extra. I didn'tmind since I figured it would be delicious!! I had shared with someone because it was their first time trying Indian food. Thefood arrived. My food was luke warm, which was unpleasant. The server had come back to ask if we are sure we didn't want toorder more. Thinking to myself, (Yes, I'm sure, I'm an adult and can make adult decisions). Thoughts: And why would I want toorder more after my food is room temperature? There were only two chunks of chicken in my butter chicken. It was watered downand not thick and creamy like it usually is. It made me feel as if I got the last of that batch and there just wasn't enough inthe pot to make it a complete serving so they added something to it to increase the liquid (which killed the taste). This restaurant is simply terrific and strongly recommended. Good overall ambience, clean, friendly service and of course... awesome cuisine. Parking can be a challenge, especially when swarms of intel employees go out for lunch. Read more
