Very nice people, not crowded. Had really good conversations and profound explanations behind the wine. This a place where you... can learn a lot! And the wines are special! Being skeptical with Ontario wines, and so far without good experiences, i was verysurprised. Especially the Cabernet Franc was a real show. And the 2018 Chardonnay is an experience. Very special. I have been tohundreds of vineyards all over the world. This visit was certainly among the top. Keep going, your work is highly appreciated. So are your products. We will definitely come back. Went for a visit the other week and tried their 2018 skin-fermented Chard! Perfect for summer sipping. Really beautiful and... authentic county winery. Finn was great and very knowledgeable about the wines! Highly recommend you stop in when visiting thecounty. Read more
This is without a doubt the most beautiful, charming & unpretentious winery I have ever been to. The atmosphere is so... welcoming, laid back, and warm. Nothing beats sipping amazing wine, next to a meadow full of native flowers; buzzing bees;chirping insects & the happiest dog you've ever met. The owners are down to earth, knowledgeable & lovely. Their Pinot Gris ismy fav! I highly recommend. Definitely do not miss this on your visit through the county. It stands above the rest of thewineries in it's authenticity & uniqueness. Loved our whole experience at Stanners. The staff and dog are so friendly. The wine tasting was informative and great. It was... awesome to take photos in the vineyard. And the hand towels in the bathroom are awesome! Read more
We were a group of 5 who visited 14 wineries during our PEC trip. All agreed this was in our top 3! We were greeted by friends... from Belleville upon arrival as they had a pop up event that evening. Had we known we would have definetly come back! Some wineswere completly sold out which speaks to the demand. I really enjoy a Pinot Noir so the gentleman helping us searched for their2009 library edition and it blew my mind! I can't wait to crack this bottle open for a special occasion and re live the whole experience. Note they have the friendliest dog! All the wines we tasted were if superb quality, unique and worth returning forover and over. Stanners will be a staple when I return to PEC Read more
