Bring cash for tips! This place has impressive food for a casual looking diner (ice cream here too- very casual place). Grilled... chicken sandwich is marinated and on an artisan type of bread like you?d find at Starbucks, not a normal bun. Very juicy anddelicious! I have been going there since they first opened. Always good food and friendly service. Last night, I called and ordered a... burger and a Cobb Salad with blackened chicken. I asked the order taker for a sub total of the bill when giving him my creditcard. He said I can't get that for you right now. When I got home I found I was charged $26. for the salad and my wife remarkedthe chicken was not even cooked properly. I called to question the charge but did not get anything other than a comment fromJay that $26. was the correct price. We went out of our way to try to support this restaurant and others in our local area wepreferred during Covid-19 restrictions. Sorry to say, this will be my last order with Jay Lovell's. Read more
Burger cooked rare and done to perfection! Arguably Lake County's Best Chopped Salad with scratch made Blue Cheese Dressing!!!... The Walleye entree was also delicious.
