Reviews for Working Dog Winery in Hightstown, NJ
For dog people really! The wines are pretty expensive comparatively! We had a good time just because we we?re a group of good... friends. I guess you?re better off going go some place else. Read more
Nice warm, sunny day with Miss Daisy and Linda. The band cod have been better. Wine was good.
Pleasant afternoon spent here at Working dog winery. Ugly Duckling and Sunset blush selections were refreshing. It's also a fun... addition that dogs are welcome. Read more
Nice winery. Separate tasting room. Great indoor and outdoor area as well as live entertainment. Large souvenir wine glass with... tasting. I especially liked that they include a bottle of water. Their focus is dry and red wines but they do have sweet optionsfor those who enjoy the sweet wines like myself. My favorites were: Traminette & Ugly Duckling. Read more
Love this place! Love the huge lawn space they have so you have the flexibility to bring games, blankets and your own food. The... wine is delicious, just remember to bring your own glasses or you will have to buy theirs. The sitting area they have is alsonice. Def recommend going for a day outing with friends or family! It's great! If you come just with people you can sit on the patio or out on the field (Because they are dog friendly but you... can't sit on the patio with your dog). The field is a wide open field so definitely bring an umbrella and chairs if you don'tlike to sit on bare grass with the sun beaming down on you! I went with my little dog and they were extremely friendly andcaring towards us and our dog. Great wine for great prices, and there is even a food truck, I believe it's a different truckeveryday, either way, food truck and wine, can't go wrong. 10/10 Read more
Nice winery with a beautiful open field to sit out on, fanned patio area,as well, with live music. Had a food truck (pizza) the... day we were there. Prices are somewhat on the expensive side (flights/glasses/bottles). The lady in the tasting room was supernice. Liked the whites. One negative are how the rules are presented. No problem with any of the policies: ?no kids? policy, nooutside beverages (including water), only smaller snacks, etc?. The rules themselves are fine. But when entering one isinundated with all the signs: no kids, no outside beverages, only 4 to a table, etc?. And then there was an older gentleman atthe door standing watch like a Roman Centurion asking what is in your bag. Not that it is too big of a deal; actually think therules are good, but it kinda makes one feel unwelcome. Just a bad presentation in my opinion. Otherwise, a very nice winery andI will be back. They allow no outside beverages, even sealed sparkling water cans. We had some people in our party who aren't wine fans, and... they were disappointed. Have to buy water from them in plastic bottles, they didn't even let us bring in empty reusable waterbottles. Also had to buy wine glasses because apparently people were stealing them, so I guess we are the ones who get punishedfor that. Wine was pretty good. Read more
