What a fun concept! We went for a friend's board game themed Halloween party and the atmosphere was great. The folks who worked... there were really kind and it was great that they have a bar but, unlike a lot of places where you might have a birthday, itdidn't feel like the kind of place where drinking was required. What a great local find! They have over 600 games to play at all skill levels (even Chutes & Ladders for kiddos). The atmosphere... is top notch; you won’t find a place like it anywhere south of Denver. The food is pretty good and the cocktails are great. Awonderful place to spend an evening. Game Train pays so much attention to detail that you can tell it's a passionate local business. The staff is really friendly and... helpful with boardgames, food, and drinks. The place has plenty of space with train themed box cars to play/dine in ortables/booths in the main room. Even the bathrooms are train-themed with large sliding doors and train aesthetics inside. Theyhave a full bar with cocktails and a wide menu of food/drinks. Some of the food is a bit pricey but convenient when you'respending 2-3 hours+ playing board games and socializing. Great experience and glad we can support a local business with astrong pulse. Read more

I believe it is so important these days for restaurants and bars to have something unique and special to attract and entice more... people to get out. Game Train definitely does. I love it when I see someone’s idea or concept acted on and manifested. I’vebeen on few trains and the attention to detail is great. Really looks and feels like you are on a dinner train. Decor andinterior design is awesome. Great variety of drinks and food. And if that’s not enough, they have any game you’d want toplay. I did a little magic here and the people are great as well as the employees. Family owed and can really tell they lovewhat they do. Wish them all the success and looking forward to going back soon. This place is incredible! They have everything you could hope for and more. Full bar, wine, beer on tap, high quality food,... luxurious decor, elegant private rooms, comfortable seating, attentive/friendly staff, more games than you can imagine, and andunique experience you just can't find anywhere else. They just opened their coffee shop and I'm hooked! They have severaloptions, including my favorite coffee (Death Wish), and they are FAR superior to those chain stores! (You know, the evil greenempire types). I love the Sunshine rolls that they get from a local Norwegian baker. You can even add some booze to your coffee!<3 I have searched for a long time to find a place that will do this! I don't like to play favorites, but Garrick is definitelymy favorite server! Honestly though, I have enjoyed every staff member I met. They do events, so I'm hoping to do a teambuilding event for my staff. I saw the decorations for a wedding that they hosted, and it was GORGEOUS! I just can't stop ravingabout this place! I can bring my kids, I can bring a date, I can have a work meeting, I can have a family game night, my songoes to their teen D&D group and I can drink and hang out while he has his fun. Read more

We LOVED this place. What a cool idea! This is a combination board game store and bar/restaurant. The whole inside is themed... like you're on a train. Parts of the restaurant are set up like train cars with "windows" that display rolling country side. They have snacks and bar type food, all of which were pretty tasty. We had chips and salsa (the salsa was delicious), HawaiianBLT, Chicken Tenders, and the Coffee Cake. No complaints on any of that. The best part was how friendly and attentive the staffwere throughout our entire experience. They were very knowledgeable about all the games they had in the games library as well asfor sale. They made great recommendations, were able to explain how to play the game we picked to play during our meal, andoverall were very friendly and personable. I can see this becoming one of our "go-to" spots and we will be bringing friendsand/or family next time we come. Read more

This place hits on so many levels and that's what makes it so great. First off the atmosphere is exceptional, the creation of a... train simulation is an amazing setting for games and food. It has to be said that the staff knows what they're doing. Whetherit's on the food, games, or beverages. I can't emphasize it enough ask the staff about the games. We needed a suggestion for agame and with our time constraints and group size we were not only suggested a game, which will be added to our personalcollection, but walked us through how to actually play the game. The food is great. We did the tots for two, pulled pork, andsteak sandwiches, it was all delicious. They have a great selection of drinks. Fun cocktails, and a rotating selection of draftbeers keep it interesting while having a great selection of bottled beers. This is a place for kids of all ages. With boardgames that range from the youngest members of the family to the oldest kids at heart. There's almost a try it before you buything happening here. You can sit and try out games, and if you like it, buy it. Can't recommend this place enough Read more
