I have visited On The Verandah nearly yearly for over 30 years. It is by far my favorite restaurant of all time. The food has... been amazing all these years. The service is top notch. Love this place? Read more
The food was pretty good, but the service ruined the experience completely. The service was overall unreasonably slow with our... waiter nowhere to be found in between long wait periods of visits. Additionally, we had drinks served warm because they werewaiting at the bar, half glasses of nice wine served, and the waiter only packed up half of the food left on our plates. We saidsomething about the half pour of wine and the waiter told us we were wrong and it was a full pour. He finally asked thebartender, and they confirmed he took the glass before they had finished preparing it. Also, we tried to order an appetizerwhen ordering drinks and were told no since ?the kitchen likes to schedule when food comes out? so all the food orders have tobe put in at once and then waiter didn?t return for like 30 minutes. We had dinner at the verandah, my husband's dinner was fine. Mine a different story, I had scallops with angel hair pasta, the... scallops were very stringy not seared at all, the pasta was just a ball of mush, I told the server,he said he would tell thechef, but I got No response. Good food, music was excellent thanks to Lisa but the host was rude! We have loved sitting in the bar listening to great music... and the food was a bonus! Not sure we will be back if Lisa isn?t there to complete the dining experience! Read more
