I frequently visit the 2 McAlister locations in Denton and always have a delicious meal. I dined the HV location, for the first... time, on 11/18 with my granddaughter for dinner. Our meals were totally disappointing! Child?s soup cup & half sandwich, adultversion soup cup & half sandwich with 2 small drinks was $26.00. The food was terrible. My tortilla soup tasted like someoneforgot to add enough liquid to the mix-too salty to eat. This was accompanied by a 6 or 7stale tortilla chips. Stale grocerystore bread with cheese covering about a third of the bread. The child?s soup was ok but sandwich was same bread with a 2? pieceof turkey & tiny piece of cheese. There was no value for the money I paid. I see on other reviews the only responses areuseless rambling. I don?t expect anything but maybe this will warn others from patronizing this location. Use to be a big fan of the chicken ceaser salad. But now they're giving half as much dressing and more Lettuce. I may need to go... elsewhere. Read more
awful experience they now have an upcharge for adults getting a kids meal. I ate here two days ago with a kids meal and it was... $1.60. they tried to charge me $5. the person at the register said "oh yeah, I'm not from this store but we have to do anupcharge now it changed a month ago." I was there TWO days ago with no upcharge? the employees obviously need to be on the samepage. Read more
Indoor and outdoor seating available. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was pretty good. I could see myself craving it... again. My brother asked for a Cuban which is no longer on the menu and they recommended the Italian as an alternative. Kindstaff and the wait for the food seemed quick! Read more
Last night we ordered two green goddess salads to go. Upon opening the containers, they both look like the salads were dumped... into the containers. Very little chicken, hard oxidized avocados, small portions, mostly looked like bagged lettuce with someadditions thrown in. Looked like whoever "made" the salad was not into their job. The berry puree tea had one small dollop inthe bottom, adding no flavor. Eaten inside before and always great. Normally, we cant finish their salads and take the resthome. Won't order to go again. Food was delicious, delivered quickly with a smile. Portions were generous. Restaurant was modern, clean, bright and... cheerful. Staff was efficient and pleasant. Even the presentation was nice. Makes me want to go back! Read more
We love the sandwiches, but the portion size for the sides have just become comical... this is the second time we?ve ordered a... fruit cup (which costs extra...) and got half of the little container filled.
