Reviews for The Blue Horse Restaurant in Highland Park, NJ
I have never had a truly awful experience. When we got there we ordered our drinks and food. About 25-45 minutes later we got... our drinks. There were 4 of us and 3 of us got water. The service was atrocious. Our waitress said she was going to get usmore water and she never came back. We asked another worker to go get her because we wanted so desperately to get our check andleave. I will give credit where it is due. The chicken was great and the French onion soup was great. (Hence the 1 Star) Theturkey was frozen solid. Overall that was a terrible experience and I will NEVER be back Read more
More than fair pricing with mindful entre design and adequate execution. Good draft beer selection. Service team seemed new on... our visit and my meal was ever so slightly over cooked. Despite the small room for improvement, this spot shows promise and willhopefully outlive its predecessors. It will be an easy decision to come back. Read more
Just got back from family and friends event, the owners all were friendly and helpful. Staff was very professional, bartenders... were courteous and attentive and very good. Never had an empty glass and we?re very knowledgeable of menu and desserts. The foodwas outstanding and plentiful. Will definitely be going back. Recommend very highly! Read more
My husband and I have found our new go-to restaurant! The atmosphere is fun and the food is on point!!! Make sure to try the... General Tso?s cauliflower and garlic shrimp appetizers. Both were great, but the cauliflower was amazing! Three people out ofour party of 6 ordered the short ribs and practically licked their plates clean ???? Our server was super attentive and couldn?tdo enough for us. Can?t wait to go back! Read more
Nice atmosphere and warm, quaint interior. Great, helpful staff. I had the Vegan Chili that was most likely the best I've ever... had. A bit spicy and chock full of fresh veggies and beans. Topped off in the center with a big dallop of homemade rice.Definitely warmed up my tummy and hit the spot. Fiance had the Brisket sandwich which was piled high and included a bowl of AuJus dipping sauce. They also had a nice draft beer selection. All welcome to just come in and enjoy a seat at the bar as well. This corner restaurant has worn many hats over the last few years however, I believe "The Blue Horse" is here to stay. Gallop, don't trot to get there! You'll love it. Read more
