Second bad meal at this place; they are Off The List of places to eat from now on. Today: I ordered a "Chicago Style" Dog,... which the menu said comes with relish (there was none), tomatoes - chopped, not slices, hot peppers (jalapeño), and onions. Nomention of pickles. The bun had no poppy seeds, but rather was stale, dry, and crumbled when bitten into. The dog itself wasmushy, and the mustard at the table looked and tasted like it was watered down. Nothing of this thing resembled a "ChicagoStyle Hot Dog". My food came 10 minutes before my wife's sandwich, and the wait-staff-person did a plop and run before my wifecould ask for mayo. Same rude waitress as last time. That's two. There will not be a third time. This market is oversaturated with coney joints which means that I have lots of other choices and places to spend my money. This place is a joke. We ordered delivery via the Leo?s website, it never arrived and got reassigned 3 different times to... different drivers. Got a message to call the store with no answer and food never came. I called the store the next day and shesaid the store was closed and she never turned off online ordering so multiple people were charged with no food delivered. Iasked about my refund and she said the owner was working on it. I asked how I would receive confirmation it was done and shesaid she would take my number and call me. I never received a call back and 6 days after the order was placed I still haven?treceived a refund and I called again and they said that now I?ll have to come in and bring a screenshot for a refund for theorder they never delivered. Absolutely awful customer service! No apologies at all and now they are making us go up there whenthey should be refunding us to the payment method we used when the incident happened. Stay away, there are lots of good Leo?slocations but this definitely isn?t one. UPDATE: we went there to get our refund and the owner refused to give it even afterhis staff told us to come up there for a refund and they openly admitted that this was their fault. I?ve never had a worseexperience with a restaurant. UPDATE response to owner: I can appreciate the very kind offer to ?front? us the money for theorder we placed that your business is not refunding promptly or even providing any follow up communication on but I think you?remissing the point here. There was a complete lack of customer care and to repeatedly express that it?s ?not in your control? isridiculous. Your staff member explicitly stated that this happened because she didn?t handle the system properly when theydecided to close early. I?ve been to restaurants where there were mishaps and I understand we are all human but this was handledin a very poor manner. Read more
Love love love this place!!! Food is always amazing and fresh! We have been coming in since they opened and have never had an... issue! Love the atmosphere and the staff are kind and friendly and always smiling! My husband and I had dinner there tonight andthey had a magician and he was awesome as well! Now that we know he?s there every Monday we will be having dinner there everyMonday! Just all around an awesome place! If you haven?t eaten there your missing out! Read more
When I walked into Leo?s Coney Island I thought it was going to be another average dine in for me however I was extremely... mistaken. Sebastian Green a young new chef sat me and my friends down and greeted us happily. He gave us marvelous suggestionsand proclaimed he was the ?Gordon Ramsey of Fish and Chips.? Believing in my new young friend we all ordered Sebastian Green?sSignature fish and chips. The cuisine was so authentic and exceptionally made it slipped off the bone and right into my mouth.This is a new go to for me and the fam and I will for sure be back to order the infamous ?Gordon Ramsey Fish and Chips.? It took 45 minutes to get a chef salad at 11 am. Numerous other customers came in ordered and ate before our food was brought to... the table. When we arrived there were only 3 other tables with people ordering or eating. They did not appear to be busy. Saladcame with pita bread asked 3 times and never got it. This is our third not so good experience at this location. We will not beback. I'll continue to go to Commerce or Brighton. Read more
Took my 9 year old on a lunch date on a Thursday Afternoon. They wernt very busy at all. Food was correct as ordered &... Delicious! Staff was prompt and friendly! I love the layout of this Leo's with the classic dinner feel! They have nice patioseating as well! They started serving bubble tea and my daughter loves it! Big fat zero for service ! Sat down ? waited 10+ minutes a couple waitresses walked by and helped other customers ? wouldn?t... even look our way. Several empty tables so not like they were busy. Three waitresses up at the counter with heads down, ontheir phones the whole time !!! Presumably less than adequate manager doing their job. A couple other people came in and satdown and were promptly attended to ??? Still no service, so after a few more minutes - got up and walked out. I guess myinvisibility suit really works ? Read more
