Reviews for Joey's Seafood Restaurants High River in High River, AB
Fish is great...not impressed with the chips plus I think the owner should think seriously about giving that place a real... cleaning...we were there this week and trying to look out the front window was disgusting....if the front needs a good cleaningthen what is the kitchen like.... Read more
Not the same that I remember. Food was good and service was decent for only ine person working to do everything. The decor is... out dated but the biggest issue is the bandaid type repairs on the seats and the stickiness on all the tabletops. Read more
Full disclosure: Joey's Only is my favorite restaurant. So this review may be a little biased! For many years, Joey's in High... River has been my very favorite. The fish is incredibly crispy, flaky, and delicious! I'm not a fan of fries, but Joey's friesare seasoned super nicely with some sort of seasoning salt(?). They're also a lovely texture! Not too dry, not soggy, justperfect! Perfect to sprinkle with a little salt and vinegar! The coleslaw can be a bit hit or miss. I'm a coleslaw fan, and whenJoey's hits, it's the second best (the first being from another chain). Sometimes the coleslaw can be lacking in dressing orflavor. But even then, I prefer it to some others out there. The staff have been amazing for years! There were a few thatweren't up to the normal Joey's standard (in my opinion), but that was nearing 8 years ago! For the last several years, thewaitresses have been cheerful, polite, and quick. And the chef clearly loves his work! It shows in every piece of fish. And ifyou don't care for fish, Joey's has a fair few other delicious dishes to delight your appetite! The only reason I'm giving a 4star (I wanted to do 4.5) is because of the mud pie. Until recently, Joey's had the very BEST dessert from any restaurant I'vebeen to. The mud pie was a creamy, chocolatey, oreo-crusted heaven on a plate! And the portion sizes were generous! Great forsharing OR going in solo as a nice treat. But for some reason, mud pie was discontinued?! I LOVE Joey's and if they bring backthe mud pie, I will change my review to a full 5 stars. But until then, my fish feels disappointingly unfinished without a mudpie at the end! Read more

Well we decided to go there for my moms birthday dinner on January 12th 2022 we got there around 7pm. Dinner was well over... cooked to the point there wasn?t even shrimp in my breaded shrimp I have worked in multiple kitchens and have never seen suchhorrible food be served to customers. The only thing edible was the French fries which were still undercooked. Fries take longerto cook in the fryer than shrimp so plz explain to me how you undercook fries and over cook the shrimp. Plz teach your cooks howto cook food properly. And the server that night decided to start cleaning with heavy chemicals while we were trying to eat Idon?t mind the smell of cleaners but not while I?m trying to eat. Never again will we visit this Joeys if I could give half astar I would. In this photo you can clearly see the shrimp is brown shrimp should never be brown Read more
As of March 2020 the prices for Tuesday all you can eat fish and chips are $15.5 for Alaska Pollock and $22 North Atlantic Cod.... I opted for the cod today. It comes with 2 pieces of fish, a side of fries and coleslaw. If you are able to eat two or morepieces of fish it is a good deal. Service is quick and friendly, but the lounge is gone now. Read more
