PBS-TV was fooled by Uncle Cheesecake. We drove an hour to try the delicious looking desserts on a Saturday at 3 pm with hours... open 10 am to 10 pm. We were greeted by a very unwelcoming girl behind the counter who said there was no lemonade and no dripcakes which were items we were hoping to try. There were maybe 10 cupcakes left (we bought 3) and maybe 2 dozen cheesecakeslices to choose from. We bought 2 slices to eat "in-store" but the unfriendly girl only had 1 fork in the store so I went tothe Sammy's Tavern next door who graciously gave us another fork. Ridiculous and insulting service at Uncle Cheesecake. Itdefinitely was not worth the 1 hour drive. The desserts were tasty but I can get some just as tasty where I live. The "icing onthe cake" was the Bible verse Ecclesiastes 9:7 written on 2 walls. Surely Christians don't do business this way! Read more

After a late dinner next door we went to Uncle Cheesecakes. It was near closing time so the selection was limited but that is to... be expected. Slices were a good price and the lightest tastiest cheesecake I?ve ever had. Different in a good way fromrestaurant cheesecakes. I really liked the lightness and it was not over the top sweet. I was hopeful that since the name is Uncle Cheesecake that it would be one of the best cheesecakes I?ve ever had. I was... thoroughly disappointed. The girl behind the counter seemed bothered that we came in. She was very rude and not welcoming atall. I got the Reese cheesecake and it really didn?t have much flavor.
