Sushi is always fresh and delicious. My husband and I love it and our 5 year old loves the volcano roll.

PLEASE DONT EAT HERE !!!! Just rude ! We had an order today 10/24/2022 on it uber eats and we received the order just fine via... the delivery driver. The items were packaged nicely and the food was still warm. We opened our shrimp fried rice and chickenfried rice to find that our rice was plain fried rice. We called the restaurant immediately and asked if it was a mistake andthe young lady on the phone asked what I assumed to be the owner or cook? and she immediately said we were lying ! I then heardthe young lady say ? Mimi there were two orders for Uber eats one with plain fried rice and the other with chicken and shrimp.She then gets on the phone and proceeds to tell me if I want I can come back up there and they will remake it. I said I couldn?tat the moment that was the whole reason of me ordering delivery. She then tells me ? well we?re busy in the middle of a marketrush , so I don?t know what else to tell you?. I said sheesh you don?t have to be so rude over YOUR mistake! Some people areunbelievable. I usually love SAKE, and I typically order there a few times a week. I am a HPU student and have been going there for four years now. I have been greeted with a warm welcome every time I went and... it always brightened my day. This is laughable. It felt like a joke was being played on us! You need a microscope to see the fish in your 19.00 specialty... roll. Might as well just order rice. I understand prices are high but I eat sushi quite often and have never seen somethinglike this. ????. We had dinner there and then came home and ate again because we were hungry. This is my family?s favorite sushi restaurant! They have the best specialty sushi rolls and by far the most unique with their... house made sauces. I worked in sushi restaurants for 8 years and now live in California with endless access to variety of sushirestaurants but haven?t found one yet to beat this place. Ordered Sake for the first time tonight from GrubHub for my family. We had the chicken katsu, salmon avocado rolls, shrimp... shumai, edamame, and fried gyozas. Our food was decent overall. The chicken katsu came in a portion size that my hungry hubbywas satisfied with and my 1 year old loved the edamame. The salmon avocado roll was also decent, tasting very fresh and nicelyportioned with the contents appropriate in ratio to the rice (I hate when there's too much rice in sushi) and the shumai waswhat I expected from most places that serve it. For the price of the whole thing on GrubHub, our order came out to a whopping$76 (20% tip for driver and $6 delivery fee) which was very pricy for similar quality menu offerings at restaurants I've hadelsewhere, although I've gotten more for less. The flavor didn't merit the higher price tag. They also forgot to give us soysauce for the sushi. I can't knock it completely, because I thought it tasted decent, but I'd definitely think twice aboutordering again with this price tag to another restaurant. *Update* After their response to my review, I've decided to knock itdown another star. I find it baffling a restaurant would defend overpricing their food over upping its quality to make it worththe price they charge. I've eaten at plenty of other similar restaurants that not only offer similar if not better quality food,but quantity as well. Blaming delivery service charges isn't it. We use those same delivery services with other restaurants thatdon't use it as an excuse for overcharging. Your base prices are still too high. Read more
