One of the best home style sit down restaurants I've been to in the south!, a little gem hidden away in a small town. built... inside a old train station. The wait is worth it to get a seat and wait for the cooks to make some yummy food, the breakfastchicken and biscuits is the best I've had. Amazing food, okay service. The pulled pork sandwich with apple butter BBQ sauce was wonderful. The spices and sweetness of the... apple butter barbecue sauce paired with the smoked pork balanced perfectly. The desserts here are amazing. We left with 5different desserts; chocolate lava cake, key lime pie with raspberry drizzle, baklava, and strawberry cupcake. All of thedesserts were perfect. The service was my only issue. Wait staff seemed to be annoyed by our presence asking for a table.Overall I would go back, but staff need to work on the attitude. Read more

This is one of my favorite area restaurants to dine at ? especially if a friend comes into town for lunch. I always order the... cauliflower fritters ? crispy on the outside and hot and creamy inside with a dusting of Parmesan and a buttery spread. Forlunch, I enjoy the station shrimp and grit cake on the small plates menu. I don?t usually eat a large meal at lunch and thisportion is ample for me. The five shrimp are skewered and grilled and they are served with a tomato vinaigrette and a whitebutter sauce along with the grit cake. In other parts of the country, the grit cake would be called fried polenta. No matterwhat you call it, it?s always delicious! Read more
