The atmosphere is like a southern barn or chicken coup for humans very sparing decor. Everyone was nice but they didn't let us... try anything like they used to do. The food was very bland overall, the ranch was chunky and not very good. They didn't evenhave a normal Mac and cheese side instead a tomato based pasta with cheese on top which we did not get. Chicken was cookedproperly good crunch but very little flavor, the tenders were overcooked and no seasoning, the dumplings tasted bland and likethey mixed in a can of gravy for seasoning, the rolls were straight out of a bag not even warmed up or buttered, potato wedgeswere not seasoned well definitely tasted frozen and a slight bit undercooked, the baked beans were the only thing that hadflavor. Great hidden gem for great and budget friendly food. I was immediately greeted with warm and quick service. It made ordering... their chicken tender special easy despite having a great selection of sides available. I got the mac and cheese as a side withsweet tea and it all tasted great. Another favorite side that I couldn't resist was the Brunswick stew which tasted as if it wasmade in South Carolina. I do wish the chicken had more flavor and the sides were a big bigger because I just wanted more! Theseating area is small but cozy. This place is great and brings all folks in for a good meal. We have loved this place for years until today. 8.8.22? The workers today are slack. Told us to pull around and wait 8 mins for... food. 20 mins later no food I walk inside to ask where is our food. Lady at window forgot to put our order in. She was sittingoutside on front taking a break! Photo shows her walking back into restaurant. TERRIBLE SERVICE. OWNER NEEDS TO FIND NEWEMPLOYEES!!! Me and my travel party stopped for gas and could smell the deliciousness from the gas pump. We had to try. We stopped over and... tried some of the chicken and wedges and it was some of the best chicken I've had from a fast food spot. My complements to thechef/cook. We were very pleased with our meal. I love their chicken. I also really enjoy the variety of sides offered. But?. for my taste the sides (all that we tried) had... no seasoning. Cabbage, pinto beans, mashed potatoes (instant not that I mind instant) all needed some love aka seasoning. Iwould never knock off stars because I enjoy more seasoning. The person up front taking orders was friendly, fast and efficient. We will return but I am going to have bring my own pepper vinegar. Read more
